If you can still find a set Aeroclub used to do a couple of sheets of vaformed floats that were essentially scale-less. You could say they were whatever scale you wanted them to be.

The largest ones were a little too small for a C-47C floatplane, and I widened and lengthened a set when I built my Dak Floatplane. The smallest ones were about the same size as the wing floats for my Super Sealand, less than 1" long.

Those do sound like something very useful mate for many other projects as well as my AN2 .
The plans I've got and now will have to go thru a couple of very large piles of model magazines to find give ya all dimensions for em including profiles of the internal frames..which is great for folks capable of making 👍

I think I'll leave it there. It looks pretty close.

Thats the paint I use.  I used to "green" it up a bit making a custom mix with Vallejo Golden Olive (70.857) but I realised there is such a variation in the references I looked at that I didn't really need to bother.
Just look at the photo above - there are two or three different shades in that one cockpit alone.
Just as "Russian Wheel Green" is no one specific shade maybe the same applies to this?

A lot of it comes down to who the aircraft manufacturer was, which factory, when, & how drunk/hung-over the paint mixer was on the day.

It's like people arguing over zinc chromate primer or shades of olive drab. It all depends on which tractor factory the part came from.

If it's a zinc chromate primer that only contains zinc chromate then it'll always be a slightly
greenish-yellow as that's the natural colour of the chromate salt. It's also translucent not
opaque so the colour will vary based on what it's applied to.

If it's a green zinc chromate primer then it's had pigment(s) added that change the yellow
to a green, the shade of which can vary depending on the amount and type added. Which
also makes it opaque. US "interior green" contains zinc chromate but it is also a topcoat
rather than just a primer.

Vought used a salmon coloured zinc chromate primer that contained a red pigment.

Then, of course, you have red oxide primers that contain zinc chromate.

The boxes are 1/35, so about twice the size they should be.

And just for clarity;

There are no AM parts on the kit build, at all - just a bit of artistic licence on how I painted the panels, The dials are kit decals with a sufficient amount of MicroSol applied to get them to conform to the part.

The model company boxes are the only AM parts, so far, & they're from the ETA "Cardboard Boxes: Carton Boxes of Miniature Modelling Hobby Companies" (ETA-266)*.
