Take him with you Chris.  ;D
Hahaha, I doubt the organisers would be impressed if I took him somehow

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

just put a high viz on him and say he's a guide dog! Or he's an emotional support dog, even better!

In other news, I'm packed ready for the joyous jaunt up the M6 on the morrow. I may be lying, I hate the M6. Probably more than the M25.

Well I'm awake, so that's a good sign....

EXCELLENT set of pics there OGL.

Do you know a way to step through them one by one so you don't go right back to the opening page every time you've viewed one? I/m on Imageshack too and I've never figured it out yet.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Having just spent entirely too much time trying to find space to put the results of that buying spree away, I think future shows may see me being more restrained. These may also be famous last words, of course, although a key factor today was that I found kits that solve almost all of my outstanding "need X for project Y" requirements.

Nice to see everyone again. Thoroughly good show with LOTS of what ifs on other stands. Lots of innovative models too. I particularly liked the one on the Leopard tank SIG stand which was just a water base with a bow wave being made by the top of a Leopard snorkel tower, complete with tank commander... ;D

An excellent set of  pictures;  thank you!

The Wooksta!

Great show as always, with the caveats about the overpriced tea and coffee from the canteen (the coffee was utterly vile, but after having paid three quid, drank it anyway) and the canteen being absolutely Baltic.  I was talking on one of the guys and he said it wasn't as cold as usual.

Sometimes things just fall into place and you find all sorts of bits and pieces you want, where as other shows, you may find nothing quite your after or its too expensive or their are temptations which look good but dont tally with current plans. So if Bolton was a ggod show just appreciate it for what it was as no idea what the rest of the year may deliver, or where your mojo takes you.   (quite a few 1/72 aircraft kits of interest today for me, or some of the cozmic Spacce 1999 assessories  but as mosty focused on ships i opted not too today. (although i may have to do a 1/72nd repair/rebuilds as a result of the box lid collapse today !   :banghead: )

The Wooksta!

Oh, and there were some traders notable for their absence - Paul Davies the decal sheet man and wockney canker Uncle Albert with his overpriced tat and fire exit blocking jumble sale - have they finally cottoned on to just how much of a danger this man is?  Only taken them TWELVE years!

Thought it was quiet... ;)

Mindf you, there was a trader up on the mezzanine who was covering for him in the "overpriced tat" department: £45 for a Heller 1/72nd Viggen! Somebody else was selling one for a tenner...

Was that the one near the lift, with the stuff on a second level.  He had the same Skybirds Hornets for sale at several shows but at twice the price.  £25 isn't a bad price, but it's top end for a hard to build kit (and it is tricky until you know it's foibles).  What he had been charging was daylight robbery.

Yep: upstairs, at the entrance end.

There were a couple of under-the-table sellers who had boxes of genuinely rare and collectable stuff that they were charging collectors' prices for, but I couldn't really blame them for that.
