I don't want to get ALL of it off, the yellow underside is just fine, so I don't want to dunk it in any kind of fluid. I've had enough problems doing that with the Dragon, so it'll be the 320 grit wet-and-dry paper.

Ah, fair enough, then.

Would a light, very temporary, brushed-on coat of oven cleaner do the job? Or maybe still a bit too fraught?

PR19_Kit

With my luck it'd dissolve the entire model!  :-\

Or, you could get an interesting paint effect.

I mixed up my paint types on this '68 Road Runner and the clear cracked.  I dropped it into the stripping bath (can't remember if it was brake fluid or caustic soda) but pulled it out before it was finished when I saw that the stripper had gone down the cracks but left the rest of the paint alone.  I rinsed it off and cleared it because I liked the effect.  Bet I couldn't do it again if I wanted to do though.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

That's REALLY good Fred, an interesting effect for sure.

If it aint broke ,,fix it until it is .
Over kill is often very understated .
I know the voices in my head ain't real but they do come up with some great ideas.
Theres few of lifes problems that can't be solved with the proper application of a high explosive projectile .

Kit mate you can bring safe with the knowledge that the oven cleaner will not dissolve ya model  ;D
The only time I had a problem was when I left a bonnet from a Hasegawa XJS Jag in the cleaner and totally forgot about it 🙃
But even then it only melted one of the edges at the front 🙄.
Easy fix it was  ;D
