Plus told her I ordered them before Christmas (white lie - it was mid-January) & that I was going to tell her they were coming when they had cleared customs (true), but when I checked to UPS app from Airfix on Monday they were still sitting in Melbourne awaiting that clearance, then the app told me that they had been delivered shortly after midday on Tuesday! :banghead:  :banghead:  :banghead:

That's what i also thought, they probably make them as orders come in. They have a good feedback score and very few complaints. Most of the positive comments mention fast shipping so, i'm hoping it won't be too bad.
Also, i'm not going to use the parts as soon as i get them so i don't mind waiting longer than usual, as long as i get what i paid for in a reasonable amount of time.

Yep ..very true ...so when ya think about it ,,they've got other orders to make before yours ,,curing time for the resin and clean up and then off to you ..makes since  <_<

From BNA I got some 1/25 resin parts by ThePartsbox.com.

A pair of Plymouth Max Wedge exhaust headers.

Four pre-drilled 8 cylinder distributers (mastered by yours truly years ago - I should have negotiated a lifetime supply  ;) ).

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed, badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry.

I got credited on The Partsbox website for a while but that's not why I did it - I was helping out some friends.

I understand and that's why i'm waiting a couple of weeks before contacting them. I hope i won't have to but we'll see what's happens.

I read one of the Special Offers e-mails from Hannants, noticed I could save about £1.20 on a mask set I needed, and ended up spending £15 on the website...

All KV Models mask sets:

2 x 1/72nd scale Italeri/Revell UH-1N/AB-212/AB-412/CH-146 Griffon
2 x 1/144th scale Revell Space Shuttle Atlantis
1 x 1/72nd scale Italeri/Tamiya Bell 206 Jet Ranger/OH-58 Kiowa
1 x 1/72nd scale A-model CMC Leopard-1 & 2 (this was the one I saved some money on!)

Be aware, these masks will leave glue residue on the clear parts. I've recently used the same set you bought for the Italeri Kiowa and while they fit perfectly, there were some negative aspects like the glue residue and the fact that some bits like the ones for the nose bottom windows do require a bit of stretching and curving to get the masks to fit properly. And if you happen to stick them on and pull them back to adjust the placement a few times, the edges begin peeling off because the glue is already stuck on the clear part so make sure the edges are well pressed in. They're not expensive but the time i saved making my own masks was spent handling and cleaning a small and very fragile finished model... :banghead:

Okay, cheers for the heads-up. I'm pretty sure I've used KV masks before and not had a problem, but I'll watch out for it.

Well, if you've used them before, you surely know them better than me so, i hope that what happened to me was a one-off because i've already bought a few of their sets. Just occurred to me that it may have been an issue caused by the extreme heat we had around here for the past 3-4 weeks. Anyway, i was disappointed but i'll give them another chance.
