The body mould below looks a bit blue, but it's actually a pretty vibrant purple! That was the only colour the Prowler was available in for it's first production year, 1997, but later models could be had in a range of colours.

I'm tempted to do this one in yellow as the only one I've ever seen for real, on the IoW about 2 yrs ago, was yellow.

Not sure how to Whiff it though, but some V8 engine maybe squished a bit to get into that triangular engine bay.....  ;)
A conversion i've wanted to do for some time mate ,,a V8 will fit but you'll need to mod the engine compartment quite abit ,,the pissy little gutless V6 they put in there sits back into the firewall and even a small V8 is a very tight fit ,,which is why i would be mental and chuck in a freaking huge engine instead
If i was to go completely bonkers there would be twin turbos as well ..yeah i would make this very unsafe indeed  ;)
Crap ..now i want one ...mannnnn  :banghead:

Phill, sometimes you're your own worst enemy, you know that?  ;D

The updated Prowlers had 253 bhp, V6 which was enough got give it a sub-6 sec 0-60 time. That's moving on a bit.

But I agree about the turbos, I may go that route if I can find some add-on ones, and a suitable exhaust rig of course.

Yellow, over a base purple plastic ??? I'll contact the Birthday Honours Committee immediately  ;)  ;D
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Speaking of Phill being his own worst enemy, I mentioned to someone today that I'm the worst bad influence on me that I know - I came away with two more kits from the Expo;

AFV Club 1/35 M101A1 105mm Howitzer& carriage M2A2 - Art'y go BOOM!
Hasegawa 1/24 Toyota Celica LB 1600GT (1973) - Almost bought one many, many Moons ago - Looking at doing a custom paint job.  ;)

A(nother) Hasegawa 1:72 Panther Ausf. G for The Stash - not the best Panther kit at this cale, but affordable and a solid basis for conversions.
Vague plans to implant a surplus Kugelblitz turret from ModelCollect, because this appears like a very plausible Heer '46 vehicle after a fictional E-50/75 introduction.

Interesting.
I knew AMT kitted a 1/25 Prowler as i've kit bashed the running gear of one with a Chevrolet Citation (don't ask - it seriously failed to meet the picture in my head.  Not one of my better moments).  I've still got the body and the trailer in a box somewhere and a vague plan to fit it with a Model A chassis.
I didn't know Revell also did a 1/25 kit.  Their own moulds if Scalemates is to be believed.
Testors did one in 1/24.

Looking at sprue shots the AMT kit appears to be better than the Revell one.  Crisper, better detail, and not moulded in PURPLE!

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed, badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry.

What Rick said, it's just plain UGLY!

I see a large amount of grey primer in my future somehow.  ;D

I was surprised at the level of detail in this kit, although I haven't even cut any parts from the sprue. It gives me a good feeling somehow.

I rather like the idea of getting another kit and making a 4-door from them, but that prop shaft, running at crankshaft speed  :-\, sure would need balancing well!

I have already done quite a few AA Panthers, but one with the ball turret is still missing in the collection.  ;)
