Not kits, but ban addition to the bits stash and the paint stash. 1 set of Hispano mk2 20 mm cannon, as fitted to the Hurricane mk2 C, these will be used on the Savage, either in the nose, or in a gondola underneath the fuselage. Also the Luftwaffe late ww2 colours set from Ammo. I got these as I want to do more of my captured German stuff in their original colours.

I've offered this up in 1/76th scale and the Scorpion turret looks a bit "lost" on the Saladin hull to my eye. Then again, it's definitely credible because I think it was proposed in real life.

If I did 1/35th scale, I'd be looking to give the Saladin a 90mm gun. The Mecar or Cockerill guns from the V150 or the GIAT gun from the AML-90 would be top of the list.

As an exotic purchase for a potential conversion project: a 3D-printed 1:6 model/figure of Rei Ayanami from Evangelion. Plan is to modify the figure into another NGE character, from a computer game.

Ah, so you bought it! I was going to buy it just for the supersonic weapons set, and then sell the P.1154 on. Then I remembered I have a 3d printer lol

As do I now, just not got everything set up yet, as I am in no rush at the minute. Having a physical model will help with an idea or two I have in the future. I also now have two of these kits, one will be RAF, the other USMC.

If the "supersonic weapons set" was air-to-air Sea Darts, then you can buy 1/72nd ones from ship modelling suppliers, who make that sort of thing for big radio-controlled models.

A couple of Lego-clone cats.
Just small ones, but they're cute and when I saw they were cleaning... well, let's just say the kits include round 'Nubbins', shall we, I had to get one each for the Sisters for Christmas... as you do, being a Big Brother...

No instructions, but a quick trawl and I found them on Reddit, of all places.
So copied onto a Word doc, to print out closer to the time.

The actual Air-Dart is different in some details. I did look into doing that a year or two ago.

Stopped by SC Models in Wedgwood Way, Stevenage last night on the way home from work.
Their main thing is R/C cars but they do have a good choice of proper kits from Tamiya, Hasegawa and Airfix as well as all the paints you may need. Recent releases too, no dust piling up. Tanks, aircraft and ships.

I wasn't planning to buy anything  .... so I came home with the Tamiya SdKfZ 222 Leichter Panzerspähwagen  ;D

Way back in 1989 this was the kit that got me into modelling fully. Bought it at Beatties in Romford. I don't think the price has changed much over the years as this was only £18.99.

Since then they've stuck in a new sprue for fuel cans and barrels.

Back then the wire mesh on the turret was a square of soft fabric that needed cutting to fit - today it's a piece of etch that needs bending.
The gun barrel was 3 pieces of plastic that I had trouble getting to line up straight - today it's a one piece metal barrel.
They still supply a length of string for the tow rope

Received today from eBay

1 x 1/72 DP Casper 72012 Rebellion in Iraq & Exporter May-June 1941

I have also received a pot of GILD Chrome Guilding Enamel. I want to use it to paint the holders for my bathroom mirrors, which are a smoke coloured plastic and as such do not go with everything else.

PR19_Kit

While I was away on hols in Devon this got delivered after an ebay prowl earlier in the month. (I didn't even know anyone MADE a Prowler kit!  :o )

The body mould below looks a bit blue, but it's actually a pretty vibrant purple! That was the only colour the Prowler was available in for it's first production year, 1997, but later models could be had in a range of colours.

I'm tempted to do this one in yellow as the only one I've ever seen for real, on the IoW about 2 yrs ago, was yellow.

Not sure how to Whiff it though, but some V8 engine maybe squished a bit to get into that triangular engine bay.....  ;)
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Kit
