My entire house and garage is FULL! And my wife comes home with MORE STUFF! I need a dumpster.......
And it's not really that much model stuff, just assorted life crap.

Day 2 down & shed floor is half empty!

Verandah is getting a bit crowded but I can't use the garage as No. 2 Daughter has all her stuff in one half & the other half is currently occupied by all the stuff out of the study, as we're waiting for it to be re-carpeted.

Day 6: the shed has been emptied & I've acid washed the concrete, ready to prime, then paint the floor.

So, the weather is going to change & we're looking at rain & thunderstorms for most of this coming week ... Oh, joy!  :banghead:  :banghead:  :banghead:

The job can still be done but will involve longer waits for the coats to dry, which will negatively impact on when I can start insulating & panelling.

How you applying it?
I think I used a roller on a stick.  Quicker and easier on the knees and back than using a brush.
If you've got similar to what I used it'll stink so you'll want the windows and doors wide open.

I'll be brush-painting around the edges, then roller-painting the rest.

Were you using the Dulux 3-phase system (etch/primer/paint)? .... And I've only got one door (no windows, just skylights), so airflow ain't great.

However you seal/paint the shed floor, please be aware that A) paint solvent fumes can cause splitting headaches  B) your knees are not as young as they used to be, and need plenty of rests  C) just when you thought you were ready to begin, something requiring your attention elsewhere will occur  and D)  it's going to take longer than you planned

Best of luck with this enterprise!

Got a box fan handy?  Stick it in the door and use it to exhaust into the real world

All good advice - please take care when using solvents in an enclosed space - but you already knew that, from model painting... ;)

Another piece of good advice. Especially in light of point A) above.

1st coat of primer done - no fumes to speak of, it's water-based & seems to be a latex-ish type of sealant.

I'll duck out & do the 2nd coat shortly.

I was going to go full epoxy, but Mrs OW had her say, so the cost came down (a little bit) & the fumes were eliminated.

Wet & windy today. Storms/gales tonight. Dregs tomorrow.

If I'm lucky (Hah! ), I may get some work done tomorrow afternoon.

Friday's off the cards, as I have to take Mrs OW to her immunotherapy. Saturday may be busy, but I'll have to finish early, as we're going to dinner with my sisters.

At this rate I'll have to take a few more days leave to get everything done!  :banghead:

Mine was epoxy.  No primer coat.  Just acid wash and then paint.
My shed has two roller doors and an access door while the garage has a roller door at each end, so I had plenty of ventilation.
It's stood up pretty well given it's been on for over 15 years.  It's s flaking in the garage but that has been flooded regularly.

As you probably know you can get filter masks which with the correct canisters will filter out any solvents.  Not cheap though.  I have one which followed me home (along with various other items) when the business closed, I got made redundant, and the boss put me in charge of packing the site up and moving everything back to his farm.
I use it when airbrushing two pack.
