PP-3838Y Doublightning (finished page1)

Now this past project is coming to "life" (plastic, without blood nor breath):
   

Very "seriously" I consider building one of these two Doublightnings with 2 kits of 1/144 P-38:

My wife offered me these 1/144 kits for Valentine's day (while I was offerning her paintings of flowers), and they arrived yesterday by post from China:

Ahem, I face a problem: the booms are not perfectly parallel on the P-38, with propellers more disrant than the fins (I did not know, even if I drew thousands of P-38s... shame on me). That may break down the whole project of PP-3838Y in plastic:

To cure, I consider cutting the rear part of the booms (of the front P-38), then glue them obical, a little...
