I'll believe you, I only know about .303s and 25 pounders.  ;D
Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage

The 20 mm Bofors in that MTB kit is a little gem! It's the only bit of mine I've actually built!

Hate to be the one to tell you, Kit, but it's a twin 20mm Oerlikon.

Just a note on the MTB kit: First produced in 1972 & only re-boxed since (no changes to mouldings), I think it's showing its age. There's quite a bit of flash, some of the detail's a bit weaker than I remember from the first one I built (some 45 years ago), the sides of the hull were S-shaped, & nothing seems to have a very positive fit (OK, this is just the hull, as I sent pretty-much the rest to Fred) but I remember the hull of the first MTB kit I built seemed to almost "click" into position. Perhaps time for Airfix to look at re-tooling this one.

Every propeller blade has an ejector pin mark on it.  If you want one of these to build i'd suggest getting the oldest you can find.
Fred

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Ebay auction win for 23, tracked shipping from the UK included...

Finally got my hands on the Italeri 1/72 OH-58A and it came with the Apache... Funny fact, the Apache is one of the chopper designs that don't really appeal to me and still, i already have 3 1/72 kits of it in the stash...
Oh well, guess that means more parts in the donor bank...

I've got Warner Brothers official stickers,  picked up a set at Wilko. Tesco wouldn't sell me any washing machine powder or tabs so I went to Wilko instead and whilst waiting in the cue. They are ideal for my larger builds. A coat of clear gloss will be needed for the finishing touch.

Some months ago I placed a pre-order for an Atlantis reboxing of the Aurora 1/72 AH-56A Cheyenne Helicopter. An email just now informs me it is now being shipped to me.

Received yesterday,
all 1/72 and all from Vallom: S.A. Twin Pioneer, and Bristol Buckingham C.1 and a Buckmaster T.Mk.1
might make a PR version of the Buckingham, apparently one was proposed as the type 169 and mocked up.
Have to see what I can find out, but my references are quite thin in that direction.

Keith
The British have raised their security level from "Miffed" to "Peeved". Soon though, security levels may be raised yet again to "Irritated" or even "A Bit Cross". Londoners have not been "A Bit Cross" since the Blitz in 1940 when tea supplies ran out for three weeks

There's nothing in the Tony Buttler Warpaint on the Brigand and that's pretty much the only decent reference on the later Bristol twins (although there was a Aviation News mini monograph on the Brigand which mentions the Buckingham - I'll have a flip through it later).  I'd thought about it and I'd delete the guns and the upper turret, drill a couple of holes in the bomb bay, spray it overall PRU Blue and add SEAC markings.

The Valom kit looks nice in the box but fit - if the Brigand is anything to go by - is iffy.  Mind, it has got to be a better fit than the Magna one.  I've done his Brigand and Buckingham and the undercarriage still gives me PTSD now...
