Ah, that explains it: it's the customs tariffs and inspections at the Lancashire/Cheshire border that held it up. Chris probably didn't fill in page 17 of the end-user document properly...

Ah yes, that'd be it.

Sending round the world the other way would have been faster, then it wouldn't have had to cross that border....

None of these. Poor old Royal Mail had to go and buy a boat to get it through the various floods, that's if the post box hadn't floated away in the first place  ;)

It certainly looked like that when it arrived, yes.

Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Ordered from BNA Models;

1 x RB Models 1/35 Shackles with Wired Pin 4pcs (H:7.6, D: 4.6, r: 1.0) for Different Military Vehicle (RB 10374A)
1 x Airfix 1/72 North American Mitchell Mk.II (AX06018) - this is the B-25C/D Mitchell with markings for RAF service
1 x Airfix 1/72 British Medium Bomber Vickers Wellington Mk.IC (AX08019)
1 x Eduard 1/72 Vickers Wellington Mk.Ia/c Super Detail Set for Airfix kits (ED SIN67218)
1 x Scale Aircraft Conversion 1/72 Vickers Wellington Mk.1A/D Landing Gear for Airfix kits (SAC-72166)
1 x Reskit 1/72 US B-25 Mitchell Wheels Set for Hasegawa/Airfix/AZ-model/FROG/Heller/Italeri kits (RS72-0087)

With the exception of the shackles, these are for my ever growing 1/72 twin-engined bomber fettish. ;)

Some 1/48 purists (like me) will be upset with me but cost & space considerations have to come into play somewhere along the line.

Went into my local model shop and one of these caught my eye. https://www.scalemates.com/kits/dreammodel-dm-720011-z-19-black-whirlwind--1243802

Sadly, on opening the box we found that the clear canopy was smashed. With luck he'll have a replacement from his supplier by Friday and I can pick the kit up on Saturday.

They phoned me on Friday morning, I finally got in there on Saturday afternoon and I am now the proud owner of a Z-19 Black Whirlwind!
I admit it cost me more than online or Hannants but you know, support your local model shop!

It looks good in the box, I've put a quick review on my thread. Nicks Notes

I hope the OH is not out of work for too long, Ray.

The decal sheets seem good. The new Xtradecal MiG-17 sheet https://www.hannants.co.uk/product/X72313 is worth having too. Ugandan, Madagascar and Burkino Faso options and LOTS of whiff potential. I have several planned.

Shur' just going to have to wait and see what happens, but It's not looking good for business in Ireland.
Approximately 140,000 people over the weekend were laid off, mainly service/tourism/hospitality industries.

I'm just going to have to think twice, and three times before I hit that 'Buy now' button!

The Phallanx class starship I ordered from Madman's Shipyard waaaay back in January has finally docked and I collect her on Wednesday. Mind, I had to cough 30 notes of gold pressed Latinum to release her from the Ferengi Post Office...

Surely under the current regime they're not allowed to handle things.... ;D

You should all be aware that international post delivery times are all over the place at the moment because of you know what.

Take any quoted timescales with a very large pinch of salt and don't expect to get anything quickly.  I wouldn't even rely on International Express getting through when it is meant to.
Signatures on delivery are also out of the window as people will be avoiding contact between delivery drivers and customers.

I can't comment on local postal services.
