Which begs the question, were you not feeling well?  The Prince having a wingspan 8' 6" less than the Pembroke...
 ;)

The FAA's Sea Princes were virtually identical to the RAF's Pembrokes, IIRC only the radio fit was different. It was the original civil Princes that had the shorter wings.

But the military thought like me, and when they ordered their aircraft they ticked the 'longer wings' option.  ;D ;)

IIRC the wings were to an H-D design and built by Shorts.  ;)

I think you're confused there Jon, and maybe talking about the Skyvan, which DID have wings originally designed by Hurel-Dubois.

And it seems I was confused too.  :banghead:

The Sea Prince apparently had the shorter, 56 ft span wings, whereas the Pembrokes had 64 ft wings. Not what I was told at the time, but it looks like it was the case.

Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage

Wow! You kept your buys down to only 40€! :o

Good buys, though!

Yup, i know, it was a small haul but buying stuff for the house has drained my bank account so the budget was the 40€ i spent there. Still there's another show coming up, only a few weeks away so, i guess i'll wait to do my xmas shopping there...
I've had my eye on the Skyraider for a long time, love that bird!

Pshaw Kit, I was speaking of the special high-altitude Prince of Darkness surveillance version.  ;) ;D

As an aside, on page 123 of Silvester's Percival & Hunting Aircraft there is a photo from the 1952
SBAC show of a model of a Prince on floats.

That would have been something to see. I don't think they ever did it for real, but floatplane options were quite big in those days.

A pity you didn't get that, it's a lovely kit.

I built mine as a Sea Prince...

Which begs the question, were you not feeling well?  The Prince having a wingspan 8' 6" less than the Pembroke...
 ;)
BAC had an idea to re-engine the Pembroke with Lycoming PLF 1A-2 turbofans and fit a 16ft(4.9m) diameter  rotodome. If you are interested in building such a thing :banghead:

I've managed to find a resin 1/50 Eurofighter Typhoon  two seater with conformal tanks , there's no landing gear or seats. It could have been a desktop kit,  there's no instructions either but I have managed to find on the internet replacement parts in 1/48 scale and decals .

Found  an Italeri NATO/U.S weapons  set for not too silly money,  as it has a few bits in it to go on my RAF builds.

Floats were an offered option, it was not taken up by any customers.

I might just look further into the special high-altitude Prince of Darkness surveillance version mentioned earlier.  I can feel a back-story that is a mix of fact, ~maybe~, and outright Whiffery coming on.

Electronics by Lucas?

It either wouldn't even start up or would create its own interdimensional rift and vanish!
