Just off to collect these on my way to work:

2 x Bronco Models (styrene) Workable Track Set for 1/35 Panther Later Type (AB3540) - for my Japanese Panther
1 x Alliance Model Works 1/35 Grill Mesh for Dragon kit Panther D/A (A-LW35013) - for my Japanese Panther
1 x AFV Club 1/35 US Water Buffalo LVT-4 Landing Vehicle Tracked (Late Type) (AFV-AF35198) - I'm thinking the interior may be made to fit into my Italeri LVT(A)-4 (under construction) to add some internal detail
2 x Tamiya 1/35 JGSDF (Japan Ground Self Defence Force) Motorcycle Recon Set (2 figures) (TM 35245) - on sale & modernish motorbikes are rare in 1/35, mostly for post apocalyptic dioramas

From Airbrush Megastore; texture stencils.

These will enable me to produce a random, organic faded texture when airbrushing.  Or at least that is the plan.

Latest stuff here. I know what you're thinking... "You bought the wrong Bear, you moron..... "  ;D But not so... I was looking for a 1/144 Bear to go with the BRAZ conversion set but they were all too pricey.... oddly, this one was much cheaper, so I snagged it. In fact, of all this stuff, the Bear was the least expensive purchase by quite a margin...  impulse buy, hard to pass it up. Problem is, I still need a 1/144 version. I wonder, though, would the Revell kit work?

Bonus....  another impulse buy. (I really need to work on that... )  But, it's so cool! T-shirt. Viscount.  ;D

Rather intimidating for me, that's no doubt.   :o  It'll probably languish in the stash for years. Definitely an "off season" project. Glad to have found it.

More ebay winnings arrived today, won from 3 auctions from the same seller bundled together:
Heller Spitfire Mk VB clipped wing
MPC F-86D Sabre
Hasegawa Kitty Hawk Mk.1A
Hasegawa Spitfire Mk.1
Testors HAWK Spitfire Mk.22
And a Lindberg PT-17 box that unfortunately didn't contain a PT-17, instead inside there was what must have been a 4 pack (all 4 models instructions are on the one sheet) of Red Star models, LaGG-3, MiG-3, Anatra D S 'Anasal' and Yak-3.

From China:
1:144 Mini Hobby Models MiG-25P and SAAB AJ-37.

Disappointed about the missing Stearman, I was going to make it a seed or super spreading Ag plane, oh well some other time...

Just now won a auction for a very cheap priced Revell Stearman  ;D

I'd advise binning the Spitfires as they're from the dark ages.

Although... The Hasegawa kit is passable - Zenrat has done a rather nice one, but I still wouldn't bother given that the old tool Airfix kit is better, let alone the new one. But having said that, I can come up with a user and a back story to get round make use of the kit's deficiencies.  The Hawk kit is  bad, with solid wheel wells and an odd fuselage cross section.  The tail surfaces are wrong for a 22, being more F14 than Spiteful.  Could be usable with a new wing (Heller 16 advised).

As for the Heller VB?  Bin, although the spare props and the Vokes filter could be used elsewhere.

Fair points, if i was going for spitfire kits to actually build a spitfire I probably would have avoided them but they will all probably get chopped up or mutilated in some way, been struggling to find any dirt cheap kits lately, buying that lot in that way made them under $7.50 each including shipping, happy with that

Ordered a Bandai Star Wars Scout Trooper & Speeder Bike 1/12 combo directly from Japan - have plans to create a whiffy "version" in a desert setting, though, maybe including a matching base/diorama.

Maybe not an exciting purchase for some but certainly one for me:

3 x Master Models 1/35 ATK Mk 44 (Bushmaster II) 30mm Gun Barrel used on KTO Rosomak & Other Vehicles (1pc) (GM-35-012) - because they're useful
4 x Master Models 1/350 HMS Exeter 1939 Armament - Barrels for Trumpeter kits (SM-350-108) - I have 3 x 8"-gun ships to build, 2 of them 8-gun ships & the set comes with only 6 barrels
1 x Trumpeter Models 1/35 Italian PUMA 4x4 Wheeled AFV (TR 05525) - a cool looking vehicle going cheap, so why not!
1 x Academy Models 1/48 Royal Navy Helicopter Wessex UH.5 (AC 12299) - the Wessex is a funky chopper & the RAM's could do with some.

This idea has a tonne of potential! The scout troopers  could be camouflaged, I know we didn't see much Imperial camo in the Original Trilogies, but if they used it in the Clone Wars, it's safe to say they used it in the Galactic Civil War. It could be a desert planet they haven't completely pacified yet. But I love the idea of this! You could also paint the speeder bike up in a sand tone, as the brown blended into the woods... Just a thought.

Just  got another  kit from Dadlamassu's stash reduction.  A revell  Fairey  Rotordyne.  Very  nice  looking  kit and has tons of whiff potential.  I am thinking of  having  it as an RAF transport  in the early 60's.  I am pondering  whether to  remov3 the rip jets from the rotors,  and put a pair of engines at the base of the rotor  mast, or build in a single  turbine  engine,  I  should  have some  bits thatwill do the job.
