That's it, I've had enough of this pile of junk, it's DEAD!

It really is too, I've just stomped on it and slung the whole shebang in the skip. Trying to sand off the masking tape residue was no good, I just couldn't get down into the reflex leading edges far enough, the Tamiya thinner wouldn't even look at it, and De Luxe Brush Magic dissolves both it and the paint on the model, but leaves the entire model with a sticky coating.  :banghead:

That's the THIRD time I'll have had to go back to the beginning with this heap and start again, and I'm 83 yrs old now and life's too short, so the B-2S is no more, and good riddance!  :banghead:  :banghead:

Sounds reasonable (if somewhat unfortunate) to me.  If it's not fun, don't do it.

Sage words, Mr Rheged, Sir.
Completely agree.
Sad, but if it's that far gone, no point in even trying to save bits for other things... and they'd probably curse those builds, too.

It's unfortunate to have cursed projects... but at the same time it feels great to destroy one. All that negativity gone.

Dead right, it gave me some great pleasure to stamp on the cursed thing!

I'm so sorry Kit.  Please accept my sincerest condolences...

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.  Revelling in numptytism.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed, badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry.

I've only got 4 builds still going now anyway.  ;D  ;)

Maybe you could do a crash diorama.  ;D

I am really disappointed to hear you say you gave up and trashed the B-2!
What specific kind of masking tape did you use? Should have used the yellow TAMIYA tape for your masking issues.
Too bad I don't live closer to you. I'm sure I could have salvaged that B-2 in some way.
I know the Testor 1/72 scale B-2 is a TERRIBLE model. But I'm not going to give up and trash my B-2 Christmas bomber project. I'm going to stick with it or die trying!
Modeling isn't just about how good the gluing or painting, etc. looks. It's also about how creative and imaginative you can be with a subject.
My modeling philosophy is: Don't build what everyone else has done. Build instead what nobody has seen or done before.

That blasted model has been giving me grief since 2018! And THREE times it's got to the stage where I considered scrapping it. The third time was 'enemy action', quoting Ian Fleming. It's GONE!

I've been in this game far too long (maybe 73 yrs since I built my first plastic kit....) to put up with that sort of rubbish.

Some of the tape was Tamiya, but some obviously wasn't, and the only other type I've bought recently was the Revell branded stuff from Hobbycraft, but not any more.
