Cooer Brad, I was wondering where you'd got to.

Good to see back in the land of the living, if we can call it that these days.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Regards

I'm relieved to hear that you are still with us.  Congratulations on not being dead. We've all had periods of adversity, but the support here is fantastic!   Just keep on keeping on, we are with you.

The news about your house and your stuff sucks but if anyone can pull everything back together it's you.

What he said!

Stay strong and know that we're here for you. You got this!

And him!

Good to see you back, Brad.

Good to be seen. Damn good to be back, even at limited capacity. If nothing ever gets built in the foreseeable future I still find comfort among friends.... so I'll be here for the fellowship.

Sometimes I wonder... feels a lot like hades....  even without the 100 degree temps. I have to head to the library and the local mall to escape the heat. Can't get to sleep until about 4AM because it's too hot! Not to mention the fallout from my incarceration.  :banghead:

Fantastic, and thank you. There's always that!!   ....(the not being dead part, hell things ain't grand, but at least I'm still kicking.) And while there's a bit of my jesting about it, the fact of the matter is is that when a substantial amount of time passes without hearing from someone.... more and more these days, that could very well be that the person has passed. I was inner monologuing with myself the other night and I remarked to myself, "Damn, my friends list is turning into a graveyard." I've lost quite a few friends while I was down. Although, there was one that I was told was terminal that..... holy crap, was alive and kicking and I thought he passed all the way back in 2023. It made my whole day to find out he was still alive. But uhhh....  not sure this "good" conversation but candor is something I try to achieve most of the time and these are just the facts of life.

Yes, I've learned over the years that this is a fantastic community of people here and I happy to be here.... I mean, sometimes one in my situation can fall prey to judgment (not the good kind) and I've had a few people in my local "real world" community shun me because of my incarceration, despite the fact that I've never wronged or harmed them, even remotely, in any type of way. I'm still Bradly James Myers, and I am still just as I've always been. I help people, I'm kind, I don't rob rape or steal and I've never raised a fist in anger to anyone. Dare I say, I'm a decent man.... sometimes people fall down but we live in a society where you can go from respected to being considered a piece of garbage without a single thing changing about their character. It's not like I woke up one day and suddenly became a heathen to my fellow human beings. Mine was a victimless crime. Anyway, I'm digressing here... I think what I'm trying to convey is that I was never one to "judge" someone in my position and I'm entirely pleased to be among likeminded individuals here. Thank you all. I truly mean it. And, as I mentioned above, while I may not be building a darn thing for... who knows how long... I'll be here anyway, and it's because of the integrity to the membership. I knew 9 years ago ( I do believe, wow) when I landed here I had found something special... and it definitely has held true all these years later.

I'll be seeing y'all around. I am having no water, no electricity, no income, and just found out today that my drivers license has been suspended... so.... I'm reconfiguring my job search now.... I have 20 minutes remaining before the library shuts down so I'm going to get after it. TTYL

Thanks y'all. A bit of good news...  unless I'm mistaken, Advance Auto just hired me for a full time position with benefits and all. This is AFTER a background check revealed that my license is suspended and ironically I applied for a STORE DRIVER position.  ;D   Having talked with the manager, however, he said they rotate through employees and every gets a turn at doing the deliveries so that means it's not actually necessary for me to drive... at all... and I can just work in the store at the counter and do stuff like help people check their car batteries and install wiper blades and what not. And look up parts. And sell parts.... at the counter. I'm sure I'll be fine but I have some major anxiety going on right now. Starting a new job is always anxiety inducing but I need this job big time so I'm going to make the best of it. That is... if I did indeed get hired. I might just go down there and talk to the manager guy and see what the score is and make sure I'm actually hired.... but the email I got says I was and they want me to fill out my tax information and all that jive so......
