I wish I could be there the first time she gets a handful of that beard and pulls it!

Congratulations  ;D Be prepared to sleep when she chooses to rather than when you want to for the next few weeks!!

Ken, the beard is small compared to how i've had it before but i admit it will probably happen sometime in the future because i normally let it grow a bit before i get tired of it and cut it down when i cut my hair. ;D

Thank you all, gentlemen!

Guy, Patricia especially appreciates the coach's advice but she still has to take some medication for the recovery process so still has to wait a bit before she opens any bottles...

Charlie, Olivia is indeed the boss and although i've been sleeping around 2 hour per night, it's been fun!
I'm only fulfilling my obligation as a husband and a dad, it's the least i can do, Patricia did all the hard work so, i'm just doing my small part...  and besides, i used to spend countless sleepless nights in the studio working on my band's songs so this is nothing new and every moment awake sterilizing bottles, mixing formula, filling the bottles, feeding Olivia and putting her back to sleep... it's all worth it.
Truth is that Olivia is a very peaceful baby and sleeps most of the time, only cries when she wants to eat or needs a fresh diaper so we're very thankful for that because it helps a lot.

I hope you were touching wood when you said that ?  ;)  ;D
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

:o To be fair, my little girl tended to have reasonably set times for waking up and invariably I'd take her down to the couch if she woke too early to let my wife get some sleep. Aways interesting at how quickly she'd drop off lying on my chest rather than in her crib!

Heart beat - it's soothing.

My daughters both used to fall asleep hanging over my forearm (butt in my elbow, head in my hand), like tiny little pink leopards.  ;D

Last to join this party. And please forgive me for that, but please also accept my most heartfelt congratulations. Your life will never be the same, and while occasionally, perhaps not in a comfortable way, you will most likely always view the decision to become a parent as the best you've ever made.

So... a month has gone by and i barely noticed it... :o

Thank you, gentlemen!

Chris, i don't think i was but Olivia is indeed a peaceful baby and we've all been sleeping well for the circumstances.
And if it was the other way around, the only thing that would upset me would be the fact that the baby would be uncomfortable and i'd have to find a way to change that quickly.

Charlie, good on you! All men should have that attitude because women do the hardest part to give us our children.
I also try to let my wife sleep as much as possible, especially because she's had her belly cut open and that takes a long time to heal properly so she really needs the rest.

Guy, she's been having some stomach aches, typical of the stage she's in, and one thing that normally helps is holding her on my forearm like you did but the other way around. Sure helps with releasing intestinal pressure...  ;D

Indeed, the heartbeat seems to have a soothing effect on babies. I guess it's what they hear the most since their ears start working in the mother's womb, probably makes them feel safe.

Pellson, i know there will be times when i'm going to like it less but it's part of it all, i guess. All i hope is to be able to be a good father and be healthy enough for long enough to provide her with all she needs to grow up to be a conscious and decent human being in this crazy world.

Olivia has been so relaxed that recently i've been able to sit at the bench and do some stuff.
Both of my current builds have been waiting for minor details for the past couple of weeks because i've also been working on a few songs of my own again so i have to divide my spare time in between diaper changes and feeding.
That said, the Mustang is only lacking paint on the navigation lights and i also have to clean the glue residue left on the canopy from the Montex vinyl mask set... Have i mentioned i hate vinyl mask sets? :banghead:

I've used these vinyl sets from KV models on my latest models and this also happened but i was hoping the Montex product would be better... nope! A bunch of glue to be removed from the canopy means the risk of messing up the paint job or breaking something while handling the model so, this sucks.
OTOH, the P-40's canopy masks were done with Tamiya tape so, came out perfect.
I did have to remove the rear windows because i forgot that the camo covered the fuselage on the interior and also forgot to paint the fuel and oil caps on the left side.
Managed to use the Ammo by Mig rigging line for the antenna wires and now i just have to attach the windows and prop.
Maybe i can get that done today and if so, it means it's time to go through the stash to start something new.

I'm another one late to the party, but all of our family send their congratulations to you and yours.  My older son was born by emergency caesarean so I know exactly the tasks you have whilst your ladies rest.  37 years ago , Bridget was told not to lift anything heavier than a teacup for two months after David was born!

Remember, you only have Olivia to yourselves until some handsome young man sweeps into her life............so enjoy every moment of it!

Thank you, my friend!
We are enjoying the moments... like we're having tonight... Did i say she was very peaceful?
For the past 4 nights she's been going through her 6 week old growth jump so she's been very uncomfortable and sleeping very little during the night.
Lots of belly aches means i have to help her by doing exercises and massages to get the gas to come out... it works and she calms down for about 15 minutes. :banghead:
I know it's part of the process but it's hard to see the poor thing suffering with the aches and not being able to relieve instantly... and it would also be nice to get some decent sleep sometime soon...

So, my bench is clear... I do have both the Fujimi A-7A and Hobbyboss A-7P kits beside me because i'm trying to decide which kit to build first for a real world A-7P.
The Hobbyboss kit has the problem of the strange shape of the fuselage around the windscreen and intake but it does have the best surface detail of the two and should be a relatively simple build... OTOH, the Fujimi has the correctly shaped fuselage and that matters to me because this is one of my favorite aircraft since i first saw them when i was a kid.
There's also the two marking options i have to choose from of a normal in service airframe and the commemorative scheme of the 60.000 hours of flight with the PoAF.

Regarding whiffs, i have been going through my virtual stash on Scalemates but i haven't been able to decide what i should build next from at least 3 different aircraft i have in mind...
If i'm building a jet as a real world, i'd like to have a prop plane and a helicopter to keep things interesting and allow me to choose what i feel like working on the most at any given time... but this also complicates things when it comes to choosing ideas to work on... guess i have to go make a hot coffee and take another look at the stash.

So, i've officially started something new...
I've been working on the Fujimi 1/72 A-7A that will become a real world A-7P in the commemorative scheme it got when it was retired from service in the PoAF .

You cannot view this attachment.

So far i added a few small details to the ejection seat to make it a bit less boring but i'll just keep the detailing to the basic shapes that can be seen through the closed canopy.
The pilot has been adjusted to the seat and i also added a throttle lever on the left instrument console for him to rest his left hand on.

Regarding other builds, as always, i'm having a hard time choosing what to build next...
I want to join the Operation Downfall GB but i've got to decide if i want to build another Mustang right now, this time as a carrier capable variant of the Griffon-powered Mustang XX, or if i should move on to something different.
The other 3 options i had for the GB are all OOB builds so shouldn't be as complicated but one of them is the only kit i own of that aircraft and a very hard to find item so, i'm reluctant to build it now.
For the other two, i have one more of each in the stash so if i build one now, there's a kit for another buildin the future...
I do have more kits in the stash that would fit the GB perfectly so i'm not lacking options, but that seems to be the problem for me...  :banghead:

Besides this, i've also been trying to choose a helicopter kit from the stash but i may end up waiting for a Revell 1/72 Eurocopter Tiger i ordered last night and get that started as soon as it gets here...
