You could scratch build one of them easily!  :o

I almost have...........

Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Mikro-Mir Hopeless Diamond and AMP 3-D printed detail set quick look by Tracy White
in the February IPMS-Seattle newsletter.

IPMS-Seattle February 2026

They've introduced a new Gallery section in the newsletter where members can show their
builds and WIPs. Bill Pugnetti (finsrin over on BTS) submitted pics and descriptions of his
What-If monster Operation Downfall mega-carrier. Who doesn't love a carrier catapulting
folding wing B-29s.
🤣

That's been out for a few months, I bought one in September and it's assembled, waiting for paint now.

Now that's what I call a newsletter.  Someone put a lot of effort into it.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed, badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry.

I know Micro Mir haven't got the greatest reputation when it comes to ease of build, but I'm certainly interested.

I am still waiting for their Blohm und Voss kit to surface. I admire their bravery and determination during the conflict in their country, I really do.

No, Mikromir may not be the easiest builds but, that's surely part and parcel of the hobby?

I've built 8 Mikromir kits so far. Nothing a little care and patience won't fix and , in any case, their very eclectic choice of subjects far outweighs (personal view) any little quirks in the kits themselves.

The Ju-388 will be number 9. They must be doing something. After all, they're still in business  so, someone is buying the kits. Long may they continue. 😊👍

I quite like the look of that, but it IS a B&V design so it started off weird.  ;D

How come the underfuselage fin/rudder doesn't get burnt off by the jet exhaust though?

The Wooksta!

It was one I was waiting for, but I got the Planet kit at Telford so I was happy enough.

I'd be tempted with the Ju 388 but I've enough SH ones.
