He is a nice bloke generally. I also asked about the Shingles vaccines, which apparently have been taken out of the hands of the GPs in Scotland, and are apparently sorted out by birthday. He did give me contact details for the department of the NHS that deals with vaccinations, so I can find out where on the list I am.

Not much going on. I took the day off as a holiday on short notice due to having slept almost all the time since I got home yesterday, and I also overslept my alarm for the morning too. This gave me the opportunity to get a few things carried out earlier in the day than I had originally intended. I rearranged a dental appointment and had some X-rays taken before 10am. I then went to Halfords due to problems with my dash-cam. I was worried that the garage had messed things up due to the workforce there not liking them. Apparently, when I upgraded the front camera, I should also have upgraded the rear camera on the back window; it was that which was causing the issue  :banghead:  I have ordered a new rear camera, which will give back coverage of the rear.
I also popped into my optician's to get the legs of my new glasses adjusted as they were threatening to slide off my face when I was looking downwards. I have just had a go at bending the ends of the legs further apart, as I was getting a headache with the angle the leg ends were at.
I really need to get more modelling done. I have the two Martin Baker models to finish. Saying that, they are hardly started  :-\ I need to start working on the interior of the Stirling. I may have to think about making the front and rear turrets being fitted, as the only rear turrets look to be too late for the date for the time period. Blanking plugs may need to be made instead.

Any activity like that needs to be stamped on hard and fast by management, otherwise they're opening themselves up to some legal issues.
Or people just finding another garage - an easy way to watch your customer base diminish rapidly... :banghead:

I found out what the problem with the dash cam was. It was the rear camera. A while ago, I upgraded the main camera, not expecting that the rear camera needed to be changed to suit the new front one. A new rear camera has been ordered, so in the meantime, I have video proof of what goes on in front of me, but not what idiots are doing behind me.

Total surprise, I just had the doorbell ring and a postie hand me a package from Nextbase, who make the dash cam that I use with the rear camera that I had ordered Yesterday! I think a little trip tomorrow to Halfords, who have installed my dash cams, to see about them installing it for me. Fast service indeed!

I've thought about getting a dash cam. Just to record the idiots in front. The idiots behind me I just try to outrun.

I have the rear dash cam in case some idiot runs into the back of me or something happens behind me that I can provide as evidence if requested.

A !well done!  email to Nextbase would cost nothing, and would certainly spread a little happiness.

Yes indeed - always nice to show appreciation for an outstanding service/job.

I have had a reasonably nice day off work today. The downside was having to travel to Gartnaval Hospital for a 15:45 appointment. I spent the first part of the day catching up with emails and the like, which was good as this week had not seen many getting read. The downside of the Hospital appointment was the time the appointment was at. Fortunatly this was the shortest time that I had been to that hospital, almost as soon as I sat in the waiting room, I was called for an eye test, usually it has taken at least an hour for that to happen. After that, the process was about normal speed. I could have gotten out of the hospital a bit quicker, and so might have caught an earlier bus. As it was, I missed a bus home from Bucannan Street Bus Station by only a few minutes, but it was after four in the afternoon, so traffic was getting quite heavy and slow, which didn't help. I had to wait about an hour for the next bus, and when I got back to Stirling, I caught a taxi home as I was getting fed up with walking by that time, as it was heading to half past seven.
Tomorrow I also have the day off work, half expecting today to end later than I would have liked. So my car is pre-booked into my local Halfords to get the rear dashcam replaced. Apparantly when I upgraded the front-facing cam, the rear-facing cam didn't want to know about it, so stopped the front cam from working. Hopefully, the rear cam will still work with the old front cam, which I still have, so I can pass a working pair on.
Once back home from that, and after a little shopping, I intend to get stuck into the MB.3 and MB.4, along with the Vulture Sterling, which are my main builds of interest at the moment.
