Still probably cheaper than his other half's hobby. Horses

He's already got a half share in a Airtourer Super 150.

Well done them, but why are they called the Eagles?

It's because they have one on their club crest. Also sounds better than calling them "Crystals"  ;)

My next door neighbour is a big Palace fan and was at the game with his lad (waving the flag)...

When Malcolm Alison became manager he changed the club badge from what had been a profile of the old Crystal Palace to the current one which features an Eagle, and it didn't take long for the crowd to adopt the chant of "EAGLES". So it became the club's nickname. Prior to that they'd been known as the Glaziers for fairly obvious reasons.

Until recently an eagle was released from the top of the stand and flew down to land on it's handlers oustretched hand before the start of every home game. Unfortunately it died of old age earlier this year.

I had a few beers yesterday lunchtime and lets just say the game was discussed in detail  ;)  A couple of the lads down the club (which is just about the nearest watering hole to the ground) had been to the game and were still getting over the atmosphere at Wembley. When I got home I'm not ashamed to say I shed a few tears of sheer joy as it all finally started to sink in

It's really good to have a lifetime's ambition actually happen, isn't it? Congratulations.

What, the bird or the handler?  ;)
