Went down to the South Downs Show in Worthing yesterday, one of the few shows South of The River. Decent journey there and back, gorgeous weather, good, like minded friends and a decent show   Only bought the one kit, but it was a big one  ;) , and some paint. Got a good price on the kit mainly because me and the vendour speak the same version of "South Londonese"  ;D Just missed the train on the way home so even managed to sneak a decent pint of Harvey's in whilst awaiting the next

Picked up my new glasses the other day, auditioning for Last of the Zombies next week. Thick or what ?

Seriously they are taking a bit of getting used to. May find it's better to wear my reading glasses whilst working on pc and modelling, let alone reading  :-\  We shall see....or not

Sometimes simply walking can be a challenge. I suppose that if they adjust one's peripheral vision a bit, the ground below looks slightly different, and placing one's feet is in need of refinement.

Annoyingly, the first transition area in my new ones is just at the bottom of my line of sight when driving... I have to keep lowering my chin on occasion to read things clearly.
The company says I can go back and get things tweaked, so we'll see what they say...

I consider myself fortunate in - for now! - only having to wear glasses for reading and driving.  Madame Kitbasher has always worn glasses.  Quite a complex prescription and new glasses are not cheap.  And it can take her a few days to adapt to the new specs.

So I feel for you fellers.

Eyesight is so precious.

Just been chatting to one of my great nephews, the one with the private pilots licence and a half share in an Airtourer Super 150, and he's been invited to buy a share in a Jet Provost - XM479 . He went to see it yesterday with the guy who will be he's trainer and has 996 hours on the type. He needs an exemption certificate from the CAA to allow him to start training on it, but all his paperwork is with them, so hopefully it won't take that long before he can start training

Jet Provost - variable noise, constant thrust.

Hope all goes well with the purchase and training.  I'm sure Freightdog will do a decal sheet for you!

Sounds like you could also be a Philadelphia Eagles fan. Since I hear that *every* football season.

What's one of those, and what does it exempt him from?
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)
