I've got tickets with a couple of mates for England v New Zealand at the Oval though 

That's that "sport" with people standing around on a grass pitch and occasionally tossing a ball to each other in between tea breaks, isn't it?

Fancy dress, beer, Barmy Army, etc.......

Whilst working I was in a group taken to an Ashes Test Match at the Oval that included a US citizen. He found the whole thing incredibly boring until one of the young ladies in the group showed him all the statistics she was keeping and collating as part of her enjoyment of the game. From there on in he was fascianated. We also got him to appreciate the beer as well 

I've also sat next to Sir John Major a few times and shared a pint or two. 

Meanwhile I made a little bit of progress with the modelling. Managed to get a fair bit of masking done, which I have to admit I don't enjoy So hopefully make progress with painting over the next couple of days.

The Fw 187 has be de-masked and looks preaty good if I say so myself. Just a couple of touch-ups. Meanwhile the Ki-98 has had some paint applied, so progress.

If you're happy with things, that's all that matters. 

Re the Cricket stats; yea, I've heard the Yanks love their stats, which AIUI makes up a large part of the game commentary (whichever game it happens to be). To each, etc.

Meanwhile the Ki-98 has had some paint applied, so progress.

I found the seatbelt I'd lost a couple of weeks ago yesterday. I was looking for another part, from another kit that I'd dropped at the time    I found that as well

Making some slow progress on all my current projects. The Ki-98 is particularly slow moving, mainly because I'm using Xtracolour IJA Light Grey for the undersurfaces and it's taken 3 coats to get a satisfactory coverage and we all know how long Xtracolour takes to dry      The uppersurfaces will be Xtracolour IJA Dark Green, hopefully only 2 coats ?

Whilst having breakfast this morning I thought I noticed something out of the corner of my eye moving across the carpet. When I looked it tiuned out to be a massive (well big  ) stag beetle. Now bearing in mind I live on the middle floor of a 3 story block,  I've no idea how it got in ? 

Still I managed to catch it and when I went out for my paper a while later I released it on the lawnHopefully it will survive ok
