i see that sort of thing on Trademe quite a lot ,,76th scale tanks for $60 plus ...there's one crowd on there whos prices for every model they sell are pure dreamland material .
I use a Tamiya Hunting Panther in 35th as an example .,..most prices will be around the $ 65 buck mark..theirs will be  $120 +
I don't know who does their pricing but man o man they have zero ideas about it .
If it aint broke ,,fix it until it is .
Over kill is often very understated .
I know the voices in my head ain't real but they do come up with some great ideas.
Theres few of lifes problems that can't be solved with the proper application of a high explosive projectile .

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

just to be paranoid,  is that what they are selling though. or is it  a cover for something else, that the buyer is aware of?? :banghead:

The best way would be to watch the item and see if it is sold. I do that with a few items on eBay that I may want to buy again, such as bases for ships.

Hahaha 😀 😆..No mate..they don't sell anything model wise ..it's a listed business on trademe who list an absolute ton of stuff including kitsets ..their not a dedicated model shop and I'll bet they thought they saw another way to make money by trying sell us kitsets at extremely stupid prices .
What also gets me is that their not selling anything nobody else has as well ..every model they sell somebody else has one too ..so these dudes really need to rethink their prices but if they want to remain greedy..oh well ..their loss 📉  ;D

Yeah, i've heard of that being done.  To those in the know it's a gram of coke.  To the ignorant (ie us) it's a well overpriced model kit we won't ever bid on.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed, badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry.

or other more esoteric items,   i had the idea from one of the " rivers of London books"  where the FBI agent who finds out  a bought magic, gets drawn into the murky world of the US 3 letter agencys.

There was a Bond movie, where the 'TV Evangelist' used the 'Donation Target' to confirm accepting the bid from the Cartel for the Coke...

Just saying, Hollyweird has to get its' inspiration from somewhere... ;D

Maybe I said this a while back, I apologize if so. Could always be a situation where "SWMBO sez I have to sell but I don't wanna, so I'll set a price nobody will ever pay."

Then you find that One Person who Absolutely Must Have It!, and it's gone.
Happened to someone a friend sold something to - so he had to make the guy another...  ;D

Sometimes it's just down to the "competetive spirit" and you get a couple of bidders who just won't be beat. I've seen some things go for silly prices in the past  :o
