It was back again this afternoon, and appeared to be moving North to South along Offa's Dyke.   Either the Welsh are getting restive or they thought I was pruning the climbing roses in a dangerously subversive manner.

Ah ! White roses by any chance ? Given today's events then they could consider you a possible Plantagenet rebel

Yes, white roses!!

I have no room to talk.  My mother's family were Puritans...and kicked out of every decent country in Europe in 1622.

We were discussing exactly the same thing in the pub last night

BLACKHAWKS DOWN!
2 Blackhawk helicopters were landing in the football field at Topeka West High School as I approached on the street.
Unfortunately between dodging motorized maniacs, drinking coffee, smoking a cigarette and listening to a dulcimer quartet on the radio, (Plus the fact I had no camera with me) No images are available.

That would have been pretty sweet to see !

when asked about the why of the thurible and other trappings:
"Well, when the smoke clears, one can see Rome."

So I got up close to a 777 today, my first one I've seen too.

Also saw the FedEx A310 arrive this morning again and then later I saw this one too (again, not my photo)

If I'm not building models, I'm out riding my dirtbike

And I forgot about this one I saw yesterday, it was still at the gate this morning and I was able to get about 20 feet from it (nearly under the nose)

Also on the apron today -- a Cathay Pacific Cargo 747.  Only I couldn't get very close to it as it was parked away from the gates

You working on the ramp Robert ? I love the old 310s. I love the way the propprtions make it look big. I know it is big, but it's just one of those aeros that look right to me....

There's a lot of construction going on at YYC Todd, my job with the Commissionaires is to escort workers who don't have clearance to areas that are air-side. So I get to go on the ramp on occasions. I'm training to be a driver too.

It's why I'm posting pics of what I see from what I can find on the internet, and why I'm not claiming I took any of them.

How did the pics on the Internet get taken???
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)
