You forgot the twin Pegasus engines, one on each wing..........  ;D

LOT's DC-2Bs were Pegasus powered.  ;)

I meant THIS sort of Pegasus........

Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

They are just physical manifestations of collisions between enigma & conundrum particles.

Any aircraft can be improved by giving it a SHARKMOUTH!

Actually it does.  ;D

It's a two shaft engine and they rotate in opposite directions so it may be the world's FASTEST contra-prop.

Boeing 717, pah! It's an MD95 with a Boeing badge.

It ought to have been quieter than a 737 as it's powered by Rolls-Royce BR715s which are a tad newer than the CFM56s on the 737s.

I'm envious as I've never even SEEN a 717/MD95 myself.

There's been what looks like a Delta MD95 parked on the ramp all week at YYC, only working nights this week and looking through a large window which is reflecting background light, it's hard to make out clearly as it's out of the loading area spot lights.

One of the new HMCG/Bristow S-92's.  Right over the house, got a surprisingly good pic for my point 'n click.  I guess I'll be seeing less of the old yella Squea-Kings now, since Bristow have got the contract for SAR for the UK.

I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Nice shot ! Neat choppers. Seen them a few times when we were up in Stornoway. Going to miss the Sea Kings tho.

Funnily enough, shortly after writing this I spied one of the local Sea Kings.  I'm not sure what the plan is yet, but I'm guessing there's a handover period.  The Sea Kings primary role is CSAR so they might stick around, but I would be surprised if the local flight remains at Leconfield, which is an army base.  The S-92's are based at Humberside and I'm on the flight path, so hopefully whatever happens to the Sea Kings, I'll still get a SAR visitor.

Yeah, was impressed when I realised what it was.  It was loud, but I didn't expect it be something as big as the S-92 and it's still quieter than the rusty old Sea Kings.
I saw a S-92 back on 2nd March, very quiet helicopter for it's size .

A little local airfield called Skyview has this guy as a windsock.

It used to be blue. And it used to have 2 engines

Saw a Sentry over Derby today, heading East. First time seeing one, tried for a photo but only had 70mm of lens, so the resulting speck in a blue sky isn't worth posting...
Some of my models can be found on my Flickr album >>>HERE<<<

While sitting eating our evening meal Mrs JayBee and I were treated to an A400 bashing the circuit. It did three circuits and then departed but the light was not good enough either for a photo or to confirm who it belonged to (I suspect RAF).
It was considerably quieter than a C-130.
