Fighter went in to Edinburgh yesterday at 14:45, think it was an F-16 (could be wrong, binocs too far away to grab) and think I saw a Loganair Saab 340 with an actual Loganair logo on the tail.

Got some different stuff in today, Thomson 767 G-OOBL in First Choice colours came in from Newcastle and went off to Cancun. Japan Airlines 777-200ER JA707J came in from Osaka then headed south to Heathrow I think. I assume it was dropping people off to pick up a cruise at the docks? With the Air canada Rouge 767, Qatar 787, United and US Airways 757's and three BA 767's we seem to be turning into a real airport!

Also there were a couple of substitutions from normal with an Air Contractors 737-400 EI-JRE replacing a Ryanair -800 and ATR-72 LY-MCA replacing an Aer Lingus Regional/Aer Arran ATR.

A flight of fledgling Magpies sitting on the fence, getting their breath back after some initial flights  ;D. Been watching the parents return with food for a few weeks. The nest is in a tree about 15 foot from my balcony but once the parent goes into the foliage you would have no idea they are there. Completely disappear
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Today I saw a B-25 Mitchell flying over the church I work at, here in Edmonton.  It was on a visit from the Commemorative Air Force and was named "Maid in the Shade" and it flew over my house later on the afternoon.

Blimey, I wonder how many days it took to fly from Antarctica to the UK in a Twotter!  :o

There was one of them, possibly the same one, here at Prestwick on Monday.

They are just physical manifestations of collisions between enigma & conundrum particles.

Tornado GR.4 buzzed my car, very low.  I could clearly see the 31 Sqn emblem on the fin.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Mossie

Red Arrow, right over the house.

I was fairly sure I could hear Hawks for quite some time but couldn't see them due to low cloud, then they passed straight over.  They would likely have been holding before Waddington Airshow this afternoon.

RAAF C-130J at about 2300hrs flew over the other evening to do some SASR night water drops just off the coast.  They do them regularly round about this time of year as part of the induction training for the SAS troopers.  I was walking along the coastal path at the time and could see and hear the plane in the moonlight and see the boats' nav lights waiting offshore to recover the parachutists.

These shots were taken by Ian the club secretary.

On the Sunday we also had the red's on their way to Silverstone do a fly by.

I always hope for the best.
Unfortunately,
experience has taught me to expect the worst.

I went to the Fawley Hill steam rally in May where I helped support the Sub-Brit stand. Fawley Hill is the home of Sir William McAlpine who has his own private steam railway in his garden.... ;D :drink: The rally was for his wifes' birthday.
