I know the feeling well my friend !!!!   When we lived in Tulsa, the F-8 Crusaders of the local Air Guard were always doing that ,too. They were neat to watch but just too Damn loud !!!!  They were so low you could read their codes ......

Some years ago,  near the range at Spadeadam,  a farmer got so fed up with Tornadoes  flying low over his farmhouse that he painted "SOD OFF BIGGLES!"  in large red letters on the barn roof.

I had to chuckle when I read this, there's a farmer near Springbank Airport (west of Calgary) who regularly mows 'F*&^ OFF' into his field of crop because the airspace above is designated a training area for would-be pilots which attend the flying school at the airport.  Seems that all these trainees bug the heck out of him ---

These remind me of an, apparently true, story that I read in a US gun magazine many moons ago.

This military officer guy is on a helicopter, and suddenly the chopper makes a tight turn to go around something. Turns out it was avoiding his sister's place somewhere out there. She was in the habit of taking a bath in her yard and the helicopter pilots had "noticed". One day when the pilots were taking in the view again, she picked up the .38 revolver that she kept for protection and emptied the cylinder in the general direction of the helicopter ... so the pilots got discouraged and started calling her the "crazy naked lady with the gun".

Talking to a friend who lives near the farm in question earlier this afternoon, I'm told the guy got a Christmas card from 617 squadron, signed "J Bigglesworth "   for a year or two after the paint job!

I was a bit early to pick up my daughter from the flight from Spain - so stopped outside the fence at the end of the runway.
An F-18D Hornet was doing touch and gos. It flew a longer circuit while the Ryanair bus was landing, and proceeded to do some more.

A bit in the distance (And no camera, of course!) a Sailplane being towed to altitude, they were apparently around 4000 - 5000 feet up at that time.  By the time I got stopped and my binoculars out, they had gone their separate ways.  The sailplane had a great day, CAVU, temperature @ 90F, not too much breeze.

Lucky rascal!

Dunno about 'over my house', it was almost THROUGH my house!

The BBMF Lancaster, PA474, just buzzed Lydney at what I'm sure was a VERY illegal altitude! It was so low that all the windows shook and I could only see the starboard wing and engines through my lounge window as it barrelled over. Zero chance to get a piccie of course, more's the pity.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)
