I'm going to try a pop/soda/soft drink can.  I'll cut it open, flatten it, draw the shape I need on it, cut and fold, fit in, paint, and decal.  I'll let you guys know how that works out.

Certain people on this site also swear by the little plastic twist-tie things from bread loaves and such.

Tom, what brand/type filler are you using?  It looks nearly radioactive/fluorescent!

I used soad can aluminum for my Petit Pet engine shroud. It's a very easy to work with material, since it's so thin (almost as easy as cardboard...) and will cut easily with scissors.Be careful cutting or manipulating the cut pieces [/color]... it can be very sharp and will cut fingers easily.

Getting the paint off is not easy, either. Acetone worked very slowly; I ended up sanding the paint off. Or you can use the shiny inside surface and hide the painted surface under a coat of hobby paint.
