Quote1/48 Airfix Spitfire 22 in overall Gloss Sea Blue/ Stars/Bars for recon duties in Korea (I know it should be a Seafire, but Hannants has(d) the kit for about 4 pounds.........unbeatable price, eh?)

I've wanted to do that to my Airfix Seafire :D No seriously even got the decals from my AU-1 lined up for it! I'm just waiting for a slot in the build que to open up :P

The 5-bladed Raiden had not been considered but can easily be arranged.   Ye Plentiful Stash has an Aeroclub spinner and prop for Griffon-engined Spitfires that languishes in the dark.    Engine rotation is a non-issue isn't it since whiffery is all re-work stuff anyway.  Also,  someone on Hyperscale introduced me to a fantastic product called Magic Sculp which is essentially Milliput strong enough a 50 foot tall baseball glove was built from it and lives outdoors at some stadium....its' great stuff for model builders.   Anyways...back to the Raiden....packing Magic Sculp into the back of the spinner would allow for reshaping of the spinner to a more rounded Raiden look wouldn't it.    Great idea....Thanks!!!!!

Team Tangerine was my "team" for the Schnieder '49 group build that IPMS Seattle did last year.  Unfortunately, I was banned from all solvents by my Dr. for health reasons so it never materialized.   :(    There was to be a Hasegawa Frank on Floats, a Shoki on a float, a chopped, channeled, and smoothed Seiran, as well as the Porco Rosso Savoia painted up in black/white referee markings.   Oh well...someday, right?    :P  :P  :P

....and...

All my ideas are for public consumption so if you beat me to it, more power to ya.

The Airfix Spitty 22 has Cooper Details rocker covers, btw.  If you have the kit and can find this one upgrade, it's very worthwhile and inexpensive.   Spitfires are so beautiful when finished in a monochrome and the dark color should emphasize the -22's athleticism and poise.   It's good to read that someone is/is going to do the same thing.   The origin of my idea was Jenning's USMC Beaufighter in GSB.

Once I've finished the current batch - yea and pigs will fly  ;)

I'm intending to do the following in 1/72 :

Sea Meteor III
Danish P-36
Swedish or Belgian Fokker XXI
Danish Hurricane I
USAAC Hurricane I
USAAC Blenheim I

That's the plan anyways until something else crops up  :P

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Well, over and above several F-15 (EF-15E, RF-15D, F-15E( R ) among others - as well as setting aside the kits to do the US Agressor birds when the Afterburner decals come out) variants I've mentioned before, there's an Argentinian "Matador" in Malvinas War markings as well as a Finnish Harrier, an EA-5D in SEA markings; I'm still doing concepts sketches for my "SeaSabre Mk.2" and FJ-5 (trying to properly blend and navalize F-100D and F-107 per the model).

There's no compo here! I just thought it was funny how we both struck on the USMC with the same plane! :)

For me the inspiration also came from a Jennings profile, but his USN Sea Fury (also to be done). I thik the Lancer's markings will look good on the FR.47 because of the long arrow down the fuselage...then again I also have the markings for a machine out of Quantico in gull grey over white :D Choices choices!!

I'd also like to add, if I can get my hands on 3 1/48 GR.3s I'd love to do the following:

-SAAF
-ROKAF
-PLAAF

(see the Harriers thread in alt. hist)

QuoteHobbes....I've beaten you with the Tornado F.5. Mine had a fuselage cooling plug, FSW and SW-fin too.
A "Reliant" update with rear-facing 2nd crew member, plus spare wheels.
Remember "Reliant", as in the 3-wheeler car company?
they "rebuilt" RAF Tornadoes.
Do you have any pics of that F.5?

Gekko ...   thanks for the link to your Starfighter profiles.  I've got 2-3 F-104's in work, all RAF and your stuff really gave me some ideas colorwise.... thanks bigtime!  So, in work are an
Interceptor version F-104C with AIM 9 and AIM 4's
  A  'G' based later model
and a TF-104 base model with advanced  aft cockpit and ETPS or some flt developement colors

also tinkering with 2 F-18E's ... one JASDF and the other may be RAF or RN, not sure yet

Having just returned to modelling after a long break from it I am going to finally do my Vulcan F4. I played around years ago with a badly built one, fitted 6 firestreaks in the bomb bay and 4 more in pairs under the wings, then sprayed it silver and gave it a blue spine and fin with 92Sqn markings. I am going to work out more details for it and better missiles and build one from scratch, everytime I see the rough built one I just want to get on and do a more detailed one. The thinking behind it is that it would make a good long range patrol bomber destroyer patrolling a long way out with plenty of endurance. Well it makes sense to me, lol.

cheers

Quotecurrently in the development stage is a fast cropdusting aircraft for dusting large fields up to 500 miles away from the nearest airport.

How about this one? Polish-russian jet cropduster from early 70's. Only a few were built.
