King Arthur: Can we come up and have a look?
French Soldier: Of course not. You're English types.
King Arthur: What are you then?
French Soldier: I'm French. Why do you think I have this outrageous accent, you silly king?

Well regardless I would rather take my chance out there on the ocean, that to stay here and die on this poo-hole island spending the rest of my life talking to a gosh darn VOLLEYBALL.

James Porter 1920's Coleopter , various SNECMA Coleopters, Gasoline's 1/48 E100 and various other AFVs and aircraft , not forgetting a Hetzel/JulesVerne Nautilus...

Quote-Currently working on a B-29A with Canards, the wings pushed back some, engines reversed to become pushers, no central tail plane, BEAR style counter rotating props, wing-tip dihedral similar to that found on an He-162.  I have no idea what to call it.

We want to see that... lovely!!!!!

Royal Navy Sea Stallion HM.1  Imagine an RH-53D with the mega sponsons of an MH-53E all finished in tasteful RN colours. Another addition to the HMS Eagle Air Group, 1980.

Hobbes....I've beaten you with the Tornado F.5. Mine had a fuselage cooling plug, FSW and SW-fin too.
A "Reliant" update with rear-facing 2nd crew member, plus spare wheels.
Remember "Reliant", as in the 3-wheeler car company?
they "rebuilt" RAF Tornadoes.

After the stuff in my .sig? Something from this list.

Yak-15, not certain of the markings yet - maybe RAF/RN since I have leftover decals.

USS Trenton (real) using a 1/350 resin kit from Iron Shipwright

USS Hudson City, a fast support ship converted from the Glencoe NS Savannah (still need some parts, though)

CL Leipzig or BC Scharnhorst, for the 1930s cold war thread

USS Princeton, an alternate Essex class battle-carrier

PS-1 Manta, a USN B-35, out of the AMT kit

Alternate KGV class BB, built 5 years earlier, using leftover parts from a Rodney, a mix of parts from two Hoods, and a partial KGV.

A carrier conversion of the Hood, using the hull, a chopped down superstructure, and leftover parts from the above model

Or maybe something else entirely!

In want of hobby space!  The kitchen table is never stable.  Still managing to get some building done.

Well, tis' the season for making claims of projects?  :P  Sorry.

Well then, including what I'm currently working on:

de Havilland DH.111 "Viper" RNZAF strike aircraft (retooled Sea Vixen)

Supermarine 224 Spitfire (precursor to the Shrew long-rang fighter, this is a speed-build)

North American P-51D CAS, RNZAF in Vietnam (ooooooooh I can't WAIT to do this one!!!!)

Airspeed Oxford rotting away on a New Zealand farm (this for Dead Parrot)

Fokker's Autogiro of 1927. Just take a few guesses ;) ................this is a longer-term project.

Spey_Phantom

also on the planning list is this A-300 Beluga, in a military airlift role.
this is just a rough sketch in RAF marks,
in real life the RAF would have got them, but went for the C-17 instead.

the second pic is a view i found of its impressive cargo capability.

on the bench:

-all kinds of things.

Spey_Phantom

almost forgot, also planning (and going on productionline today) is an AEW version of the NH-90. it will be equiped with the same radar as the seaking AsAc.7. a good replacement for the RN seakings, also great for spannish and Italian Carriers  B)

I'll play too:

Airfix 1:72 Strikemaster - Jet Provost T7a
RAF Forward Air Control trainer - y'all have prolly seen the pics on the 'Workbench' thread. Wraparound green/grey camo and big yellow 'trainer' bands.

Italeri 1:72 F-104G - Starfighter F3a
RAF 'final' version of the sexiest interceptor around. Spey engine from the Fujimi Phantom, RWR pods and AMRAAMs. Lo-vis greys.

Italeri 1:48 F-19
Sort-of a painting exercise. Fractural style camo in 'sunset' colours !

The rest of the queue is taken-up with real stuff. I'll leave it there for now.

Confuscious (maybe)

Under way:

1/48 Academy F-86F with a simple repaint in RAF Gray/Gray/Gray w/ a Red Tail

1/48 Tamiya F-4U1D w/ Tamiya P-47 paddle prop, ''metalized'' and SEA paint.

1/48 Tamiya F-4U1D in FAA Europe markings and an Ultracast seat/prop (4-blade) or USAAF Coral/Desert Pink for Italian service.    Got a great sale price on Tamiya Corsairs one day ($US8.00 ea) so 3 entered Ye Olde Household.

1/48 Airfix Spitfire 22 in overall Gloss Sea Blue/ Stars/Bars for recon duties in Korea (I know it should be a Seafire, but Hannants has(d) the kit for about 4 pounds.........unbeatable price, eh?)

1/48 Tamiya Raiden w/ a chop top and to be done in Reno Racer markings likely Testor's Boyd's Orange metallic flying for Team Tangerine.

Fun stuff.
