As Mossie says, nice box art.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed, badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry.

I decided to pre-order one from Jadlam, seeing as it was them who told me about it. One of the options during checkout was, Collect at SMW (Telford)2025, so I selected that just to see if that happened.

and then simply washed the panel lines etc.
It's like it's a sly response to the 3-D renders put up by other kit manufacturers. A bit of polite snark.
🤣

I had a smile too when I saw that.

At the club meet last week one of our members brought in his shiny new Tamiya Tomcat to show off. It looks amazing

The box is completely packed with a heck of a lot of parts, each sprue in aseparate bag. I did think Tamiya may have gone a bit too far in the parts breakdown. Even the pilot figures have separate bodies, arms and heads. The helmet is approx 3mm wide and the instructions have pictures of how to paint the fancy schemes

The wings move and you get 3 screws with a little screwdriver to hold them in place. Missiles are included - looks like AIM-54 Phoenix and AIM-9 Sidewinders.
Huge decal sheet which is slightly smaller than the box, nearly A4 size. Lots of tiny markings for No Step and the microscopic missile labels. Choice of 3 paint schemes including the all Black version.

Tomcats always look good and these will be great on any model table.

I had a look online and it looks like a beautiful kit but I thought at the time that the parts count is dizzying. Not cheap either, but you do get an extraordinarily detailed kit oob with many ordnance options. Shouldn't be too difficult to backdate to an F-14B either.

Tamiya have repopped the 1/24 Zakspeed Capri Turbo.

As a kid I used to regularly pick these off the shelf, grok them, and then put them back.  Maybe this time i'll buy one?

Oh YEAH!

Much though I'm a GM fan, those Turbo Capris were really something, and that kit's magnificent.

I might even look out for one. A pity it doesn't come with a sound chip, those Zakspeed tuned turbo fours SCREAMED at almost 10,000 rpm. They were only 1.4 litres and pushed out 530 bhp!!!  :o

I bet Rick Lowe would want one too, he's a Capri NUT!  ;D

So several years ago when I was working for Aston Martin Racing one of the works drivers was Stefan Mucke. I remember a bunch of us were talking about our project cars one day and he mentioned he and his dad were rebuilding a Capri. But not just any Capri, no, a Zakspeed Capri! He showed us all the pics, and they had done a beautiful job, just the two of them, of fully restoring it. They'd had the engine rebuilt to handle 700bhp, but were going to run it safe at 500....

However did he get hold of spares for a Zakspeed Capri?  :o

1/1 Zakspeed Capri kit, nice.

I've got the white Würth boxing. Got a thing for Group 5 cars.

With older kits being labled Gr.5, the temptation is to paint it NATO/lichen green...

Given the kit breakdown, it would appear Tamiya will likely box other earlier vaiants

I think you should, I'm sure you could do something interesting with it. It's a pretty simple curbside model, should go together very quickly.

My first thought when I bought it was 'Batmobile'.
