They only accepted Sumo wrestlers as pilots though, even though getting them in and out of the cockpit required a team of 5-6 to do the levering......  ;D
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

I hope the engineers added a load of weight to the nose to compensate for the CG
shift caused by the contraprop gearbox and winglets. Pusher-prop tailless aircraft
already want to flip over backwards due to sensitivity in pitch. That critter would be
fun, to say the least.
🤣

I had to.. so I suppose they would have. They are aeronautical engineers after all.
Could change the armament to twin 40mm, that would chug up the weight and make it even harder to handle I would reckon.

Anyhoo...
Got some decals on. Bit big, but beggars and choosers as far as that goes, as I said, I was not buying decals for a kit that does not warrant the expense.

Final finishing to go then back onto other projects. Thanks for the interest so far.

By 1945 Japanese flakmen were getting very trigger happy and would shoot at anything which flew.  The size of the wing meatballs was therefore increased to a maximum in an attempt to reduce friendly fire incidents...

If I had read this thread earlier I would have offered you some transfers.  Sorry for my slackness.  But it looks very good as it is.

That's why sumo were only ever kamikaze.

I like the idea of the AA Gunners being trigger happy, as really that would be a very real possibility during an invasion scenario.. that works.

Might call that a done.
Nothing too special, but meets the brief for this GB I hope ;D

Thanks for all the feedback

Dad was a AAA gunner in the BPF and he said that any aircraft below a certain altitude was officialy considered a target, especially when the Kamikaze's started. Didn't stop the FAA pilots following them in to that zone in order to shoot them down though

It looks great! Especially considering the kit's vintage. You made it look like a recent issue.

My dad had the honour of pointing high speed lead in the direction of the Luftwaffe and the Imperial Japanese Navy's aircraft in WW2.
