Quote from: Wardukw on February 24, 2026, 09:30:36 AMI had a set of Heller German figures at rest and man these dudes where big ,, you'd think 32nd but nope they were 35th but when you compared the  to other figures i had these guys in the RW would be like 6'5 tall and loaded with muscles,,when you put them with other figures they just didn't fit .

Good Nordic stock, pumped on up steroids and Pervitin.
Yeah and lots of both
You'd think they are 32nd scale by the sizes of these guys and if they were it'd make sense ,,but nope ..oh well ,,such is the life of a model builder type person

Don't even look at the model train figures! They're down right ugly in every way. I've been gathering together some figures for the Ian McQue diorama in 1:48th scale and some wild differences there!  I even picked up some O gauge figures and wow! Ugly giants! I'll be using one guy and he's nicknamed Mongo.... See Blazing Saddles!
Mate when it comes to smaller scale figures ,detail goes down hill at a rapid rate of knots ,, these figures i had had pretty good details really ,,their faces had very nice expressions and their uniforms were very nice too .. the main problem of course was that they all wore size 16 boots  ;D
Mongo ,,ahhh Mongo ,, Blazing Saddles is a fav movie of mine and yep ..i've got a 1080p copy of it on my movie HD
You'd think that with 3D printing getting as detailed as it is now becoming that small scale figures will be on the list somewhere that someone will make .. biggest problem is that their so small details disappear when your like only 76th scale ... 48th tho should have some good figures because they are already out there ..hell even Monograms 48th scale pilots were pretty detailed and there old as the hills now ...some of the painting i've seen on Monograms figures from kits like their B-17 and  B-24 models is impressive so today there's got to be better .,,well you can only hope they are . :-\
If it aint broke ,,fix it until it is .
Over kill is often very understated .
I know the voices in my head ain't real but they do come up with some great ideas.
Theres few of lifes problems that can't be solved with the proper application of a high explosive projectile .

O Scale only equals 1/48th in the US, it's 1/43.5 in the UK and primarily 1/45th in the rest of Europe but 1/43.5 is also used.

O Scale is also not the same thing as O Gauge which is the width of the track. All three of the different versions of O Scale run on O Gauge track.

Just as the different versions of OO/HO and N gauge do.

And I suspect for the very same reason, because we in Britain started the 'railway thing' off, and everyone else made theirs quite bit larger, having seen the problems that we ended up with, and still have to an extent.  :banghead:
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Yep, which this graphic of historical loading gauges makes very clear.

A good friend picked up the nickname 'Mongo' in his Airsoft days, and it's stuck...  ;D
There again he's about 32nd Scale, compared to the rest of us 35th guys...

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.
