From Fw 189 into madness

I have looked in my kit collection to find the next one to build. One of them was half built: Airfix Fw 189A 1/72. Though I had bought another kit of the same a few years later, having forgotten the unfinished one! And I had also got a 1/72 Czech Resin CMK Fw 189B (without glazed nose & rear pod)... What to do with all that...

I have already drawn a dozen what-if Fw 189... Will I simply build 3 of them, or 2 including a twin-pod? Of course they would have the standard engines, not the radials that I kept from my first drawing (Fw 189E).

Finally, I plan to do something like this Fw 189 ABA nick-named Waterloo...
It would have in-line piston engines - or no engine, singing in rhythm being enough to fly...

Obviously, this will not be as easy as I thought... The 3 basic model are glued, while the what-if junction now must occur...

I consider removing the rear cones to decrease the length of the 2 front pods, to have them closer and reduce the total size – that frightens me...
For the two Fw 189 twin-boom tails that will be removed, the destination will not be the garbage can but (as currently planned) use to turn twin-boom the Bv 141 and the Kiowa helicopter, simply...

Thanks for your so nice words Allan ^_^ , while... what is the meaning of "jumping into the deep end"?

I know the "dead end", alas

, is it the same? it seems not, I just try to understand...

PS. I am almost in a dead-end, actually, with my 1/72 XP-77Z (P-7117): the vacform canopies were so thin, they broke and I filled all with putty to paint them black, but sanding they still broke again... I have left this model aside not to loose enthusiasm in modelling. I will come back to it later. Maybe.

"jumping into the deep end" refers to bravely taking action without reservation or hesitation, as if "jumping into the deep end" of a swimming pool.

Update: after one tail has gone to the Bv141 and the other to the Bell Jet-Ranger, the triplex twin-boomer is taking shape. While a huge amount of sanding will have to be done before gluing the 3 elements...

An egg-189 would be nicely crazy too, as suggested by the square thumbnail at

Sanding on the pods is almost finished. And I have also cut the final front end of the booms (engine-less, propeller-less)
