I don't really know why I bought this model, 'spose it's 'cause I like USN bi-planes.
I wonder how big this plane would be, 1/72 sc., well half the size of the William Bros. kit I bet! It's like a naval 'Pitts Special' but, the Curtiss has charm!
When she is finished, it will be sold, the guy who I build the airliners for wants it, and it may as well go to a good home.
I tell you one thing, it's a 'bitch' of a model to build, especially the engine and undercart/legs/spats.
I wonder if you can get a 1/32sc model of the USS Macon? probably not!

That's one nice bird there Glenn. Not only do I love "yellow wings" but I'm also an airship enthusiast. The story on the Sparrowhawk is that it was considered too hard to handle for carrier operations but was given a second chance when they built the U.S.S. Akron. Apparently, it was the only viable scout that could fit through the arbitrarily sized hangar door on the airship. That build's gonna look great with the skyhook!

Here's a bit of fun: http://www.chandelle-jah.com/articles/buaer124.html
