The new USAAF show the first view of the B-33. Soon these 'super bombers' will be seen raiding the Reich with the B-32 Dominator's. Originally to be called the Super Marauder, this airplane has differed in design with a single tail where the original concept was to have twin tail assembly.

Model 2x Crown B-26 Marauder's joined, cut and modified. The tailplanes are actually the wings of a B-26 outboard of the engines. The tail has been heightened and the wings extended with 2mm Evergreen.

Wow Glen I think I'm in love!   That's one of the most beautiful four-engined bombers I've ever seen! Excellent work! Now I need to find some tissues...

Now that is in impressive looking bomber.  And it falls neatly into the "Wish I'd thought of that" category as well.  Excellent job!

Captain Canada

SWEET!!!!

Think I have to add that to the future projects list.  Would look impressive in a bigger scale.........not saying that it doesn't look good now mind you!

Ollie

Yes, the Germans will get a severe beating from this one!

Now that's how a what if should be.  I sat there for a few minutes going, "What's so weird about a B-17?"  Noticing the extra dorsal turret or the wider-apart engine nacelles didn't clue me in either.  Nicely done!

Another view from a different angle. Yes, I'm sure she'd have a punch!

A tandem twin-plane? Nice and original!
[the word "realistic" hurts my heart...]

I remembered vaguely that Martin designed a "Super Marauder" that was never built, and so went over to the USAF Museum site and perused their archives, wherein I found this:

Martin XB-33A Super Marauder

Look at the teeny print at the top left.  "THE GLENN L. MARTIN COMPANY"

Too cool!

At first, I thought perhaps someone had been spending a bit of time on a document program...then, I saw this:
