Well, she's done.

I ended up going with the Australian markings and a weapon load of 3xMaverick, 3x500lb Snakeye, and 2xASRAAM.

The base is a bit big for the model, so next trip to Wally World I'll pick up a smaller one.
So I got that going for me...which is nice....

I find the F-32 and its predecessor, the Boeing ATF contender, are exotic but nevertheless very cool designs

Thats probably the best model of that plane I've seen.

With the X-32 I always think the intake looks far too big though, so when I did an RAF one a while ago i cut the intake sides down along the top edge (of the lower fuselage section) from about a quarter of the way down the intake lip and back towards the wing leading edge, removing an elongated wedge. I had to use brute force, sellotape and super glue to mate it to the upper fuselage, but the effect was ultimately quite sleek looking, I also blended the hump behind the cockpit into the fuselage contours with milliput and I was quite pleased with the result, though my standard of finishing is way below what is on show here. I'd post a picture to show you what I mean if only it had survived being dropped down the stairs. :dum:
