I did not put all the decals on, I did not like the big letters.

nev

Whats the story behind it?

I take it you don't like spitfires? LOL Not much of a story I guess it was a simple build. I painted it with a brush, now that I think about it the wings were a bit tricky for some reason. I started it last winter, all that was left was the decals.

nev

It was a Homer Simpsonism

Nice!

What kit/scale?

It looks 1/32ish to me...

Words of unrealism that please me a lot:
- why are there no code letters?
- because I don't like them
This is not exactly "what-if (the history was)...", it is closer to my own way: "history provides models, and from these models, I try to make pleasant objects, caring not much about History"...
Thanks for walking this way like I do, thanks a lot, dear. ^_^

Ollie, It's a Revell 1/48th scale, wow 1/32ish would be huge and cool. Tophe, like you I build them for me not history. I think it looks very good with out the letters. Even tho I forgot to detail the canopy I think this is one of my better ones, and favorite models. nev, D-OH! My wife thinks I'm Homer! LOL

Ollie

That's a nice little kit.  I have one in the stash to be converted from a Mark II to a Mark I.

What's a spitfire?

I remember once i tried doing an old airfix 1/72 spit with wheels up like that. Didnt quite work as the gear doors that came with it were nearly as thick as the wings themselves!

Is that brush painted? What kind've paint you use?
