BlackOps

What kind of paint scheme do you have planned for the SR71? I would love to see some of these with different schemes.

Was that Bluebird and the Pink Lady?  I keep wanting to erm...pay respects with an homage...yeah, that sounds better than crib his idea....by making those two at some point for my RAF "Future Force".

EDIT: You can find them on ARC, go to the gallery, then to jet aircraft, then to SR-71.  They should be the first entry.

I painted it flat black, I did think about painting it camo, or just gray. My wife liked it primed.

Strang that, there's something about a well built model in primer I've always liked - sometimes reminds me of a classical scuplture. Thought I was the only one who liked them that way

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Looking good Big Daddy, and starting with a flat black you can always add some nice striping to it. Sort of making it stand out from the rest of the flat black pack

Excuse my ignorance, but what is "primer"?

As its grey I'd say the primer is the same stuff used as an undercoat on cars.

Primer....An undercoat of paint or size applied to prepare a surface, as for painting. From dictionary.com.

I like it in flat black now, I'm going to put one more coat on it and be done. I am going nuts wanting to take the tape off the cockpits, I'm scared I got some over spray in there. I will take a few pics of it and my A-10 in a little bit and post them.
