I always thought that a camouflaged atat didn't make sense, with the way that the Empire treated everyone (as inferiors)...so this one is going to be somewhat gaudy...
and, the little helo on the meteor build was kind of fun...so, how about a little TIE action????

Wha?  You tease!  Where's the AT-AT????  Judging from this pic, it is about to be sliced by a Rebel NorthWest Short Line "Chopper" tool!   :o

The MTF (Mini Tie Fighter) is cool already.  Depending on the context in which you display it, this tiny craft could also serve as one of those "seeker" probes that act like a pilot fish near a whale, circling the mothership (i.e. in space around a Star Destroyer or posed in "orbit" round your surface AT-AT on a very thin wire) in order to provide roving status reports, etc.

I think SeaQuest DSV used that idea underwater at one point.

I'm glad YOU'RE going to paint it and not me!    :o

Now, the AT-AT photos, Commander...

This one is going to be waaaaay untraditional,  have started adding the catwalks, etc...:

Cool !

Love the little Tie.

And can't wait to see the At-AT.

"On the catwalk..."

That is a great adder.  How 'bout some side-mounted control tower structure like taking half of the control tower (bridge) from an a/c carrier and mounting it along the side of the body too?

This is going to be coooooooooooooool, isn't it?

Hmmn, would be nice if they did Tie's and Snow Speeders to the same scale as the AT-AT.

How about using 2 kits and do either an Extened version with longer body, or possibly an articulated version with the neck of one acting as a universal joint.

Thing about the AT-AT's however is they must have a turning circle the size of a super tanker (or Super Star Destroyer to be more topical) and reverse parking must be a real pain in the arse !!!! :o

I think you did get a pair of (less than fantastic) Snowspeeders with that AT-AT kit, right?

Your extended version is cool, like a super-bus!  You could have the trailing body house an army of Probots (probe droids as also seen in TESB).  Side doors open up and, yikes, out they come...

About the turning radius, from seeing some of their moves in the snow battle in TESB, I believe the AT-AT would be able to turn "on the spot" the way an elephant does.

ILM used elephants with marker-stickers and lines to study its gait.

Man, you're doing a good job with those gantries.  What scale/kit are those from?
They're styrene, aren't they?
So clean!
How'd you do that?

some sheets of white styrene, a bunch of leftover railings (you have them now too, John !), and the lovely "chopper"...(still my best modeling purchase)
  Late afternoon's, a few disks of Babylon 5, and a cold beer...or two !

Jschmus

That's some major-league re-scaling, isn't it?  That'll make the AT-AT huge!

Yep, this one is going to massive on scale !  1/250, I do believe (the kit is unscaled, but estimates run around 1/100-1/125 ).
I am also going to be decorating it like a war elephant...the arrogance of the Sith would never have allowed them to go into battle with a white ship !!!   :D

Gold, purple, and lots of chrome...yep, my kind of atat.

Nice mods!   I really like the added detail, really brings it to life.
