Honestly: pure genius (IMHO) the way you've staggered the hues of the splinter camo.

Very much in the "wish I had thought of it" category!

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Try not. Do. Or do not. There is no try.

the Colors look great, especially the Egyptian one.
But one thing though, is it me or are they to short? Don't know but something doesnt look right here.

I like the last one, the grey tunisian splinter camo!!

Just a question: what did you use to draw the national markings?? Where did you find them??
Did you draw the plane yourself (and scan them for Toshop job) or do you know a site with good 3 view print??

Month ago, I draw on this site a kuwait Eurofighter and an algerian Hornet and it was very difficult to me to find the blue print for the plane and the models for the markings...

And I just want to tell you that you do a very great job!!

i'd happily watch you post as many of these profiles as you can - each one is a work of art, and is saved in my file of "things to do".

awesome stuff, again!

Not sure Patrick, Photobucket may have distorted them trying to fit it into their size requirements??

Hi PolluxDeltaSeven,

National Markings are drawn in Adobe Illustrator.

Here is one site that shows roundels of the world:

http://cocardes.monde.online.fr/v2html/en/accueil.html

If you do a Google search your bound to find more.

Usually I draw my own profiles based on other drawings, scale models and detailed photographs. For the Lightning F.6 however I scanned a side profile from the excellent Aviation News Warpaint Series No.2, then cleaned it up and modified it a bit in Photoshop.

Where would I find the profiles of your Hornet and Eurofighter? I'd really like to see them. :)

Thanks for your kind words. :D

Cheers

Richard.

Thanks much Retro. :P

I must admit that finding this site has boosted my enthusiasm for 'What if' subjects. I didn't realise that there were other people out there who'd actually like my "different" approach to modelling and side profile artwork.

Mark me down as another who enjoys your "what-if" markings.

Just to stimulate further concepts, I'm looking at some Australian F/A-14D's or E's (D's with as many of the Tomcat 21 upgrades as fiscally possible) in some of the markings from http://www.f-111.net/CarloKopp/gallery.htm

Could be the thing, or, as I said, it could be my imagination or I have a slightly diffrent look of the aircraft in my mind. To me they look a bit compressed front to back.
annyway, it still is a great job you've done, no arfuement about that.
