Yeah, most of the personal weapons in the first trilogy were based on assorted WWII weapons: Sterlings, Mauser pistols, etc.

Kind of looks like a Daewoo K2 or a Bofors AK5.  Now the future is the bullpup....Hint, Hint, Nudge, Nudge, Wink, Wink, Say no more, Say no more... B)

Love your carbine design Jules, looks awsome. Never fired the Browning 9mm, but I have handled the L7A1 and L34A1 (Sterling SMG) on the ranges of HMS Osprey when I was a navy cadet, good days.

BTW, the stormtrooper carbines WERE based on the Sterling SMG, and Rebel blaster pistols were based on the Mauser C96 Broom handle.

I've had hold of a FG42, gave it back to the owner when he said it was £25,000 and that was about 20 years ago

Heh awesome. I'd love to shoot one one day, it'd probably be the only thing to beat hipshooting an FN MAG which I did when I was in the navy.
