personally, I was hoping you would name it "tittytwister"...but yeah, the brits would never go for it.  I do like Tempest 2 though.
should be a great looking jet !!

Maelstrom.

(Yes, I know it has more to do with a oceanic whirlpool but it IS a type of storm, nonetheless).

Damn fine concept, too, Black Ops.  One very threatening looking bird!

You do whatever the he|| you want with the canards, too.  They're cool.  Never be afraid of going over the top.  World's full of mice.  Be a lion.

Your twin tail is a whole lot more challenging than my first one. Keep up the good work. B) http://www.midwaysailor.com/eddiemiller/ed...iller-1088b.jpg

Eddie, I like that, nice and compact.  I wish I had more kits to play with and see what works where but I better pace myself...I just picked up four new kits this week.

I'm looking to do a "Tornado F.5" based on aerodynamics similar to the "Tomcat 21" proposal, going to twin tails (need to buy a couple inexpensive 1/144 Tornado kits for the vertical tails), and upgrading to EJ200 engines.

Now I wonder if I still have to Tornado instructions so I can figure out if I have all the landing gear parts.
If it's the Airfix or Esci GR1 kit, I can scan 'em for you.

BlackOps

Hobbes, I did some digging and actually found my instructions! It is a miracle to say the least, I really thought they were long gone. I do want to thank you for the offer though.

Got to work on projects today so here's a quick progress shot :

Cyclone

Decided to call it the Cyclone because after doing a little searching I realized the Typoon already had a version II - version V.

Still have a lot of fill work to do...that's the part I hate the most!

Julhelm

Looks like something out of UN Squadron or Sky Target 3D.

You and me both.

However, from the new pic, this is DEFINITELY worth the work.

Great idea, Jeff.

You and Eddie can open some kind of Model Whisperers Academy to help get guys like me able to cobble such cool conceptuals together the same way!

Well those new pics are just too cool!

Do you have one with the wings swept?
So I got that going for me...which is nice....

BlackOps

I'll get one with the wings swept in the next round of pics...with the wings back it looks a lot like a tomcat.

I like this one a lot. B) The a very good balance and an aggressive look. It also remind me, in shape, of the micro jets. Anyone remember the Coor's Silver Bullet? :) Way cool concept. Looking forward to your progess.

I remember the Coors's Silver Bullet.  There was a recent bad oilspill in our province a few weeks ago.  I guess there was a guy there whose cabin just barely escaped the damage.  Turns out he has a nearly completed kitplane of that Silver Bullet sitting in his little garage there...uninsured, too!   Guess he was really sweating "silver" bullets of his own while he watched the news unfold.

Jeff: don't forget to post in-progress and swept-wing pics for those of us already happily addicted to this new concept.

Paint scheme concept yet forming up?

Still not sure what paint scheme to go with...of course it doesn't matter until I finish sanding...got a little heavy handed with the filler putty...DOH!

Thinking maybe standard RAF camo scheme but not locked into that.
