Wow, beauty job, Nevster ! Spitfires rock, and they look even better in those naval colours, and even more better with those roundels, and more better than better with the white spinner !

Would look good ona shelf with Ollie's WWII stuff.........or how about a Hammy Gray Corsair to sit beside her ?

Very, very nice.

Did you use the nail polish remover trick on the filler then?

I just happen to be filling/sanding on my 1/48 Hasegawa MkVIII (which is a drastic improvement over my last spit which was the monogram kit).  It is about the most miserable part of the construction process.  Unless you have to rescribe panel lines.  That's worse, in my book.

Great looking model, though.  I hope mine turns out half as good.

Great Seafire Nev. Looks like you did a mighty fine job on the filling and sanding.

Looking great, Nev!  I find that many of the 1:48 Airfix warbird kits, the ones  which are decent, anyhow, are actually reboxed Otaki/ARII kits.  This goes for the Corsair, Hellcat, and a Mustang I have, anyhow.  Wonder if that's the case for your Seafire, too?

Considering when they first came out and what was otherwise available at the time, I'm very impressed with Otaki/ARII's engraved panel lines and attempts to put some details in the cockpits and wheel wells back then.
Styrene in my blood and an impressive void in my cranium.

Seafire III is the old Airfix Spit Vb with a new wing and parts for the hook.

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.
