The finish will be O/D, N/G. The 'stars and bars' and number on the tail, from a P-51A model, but it needs that personal touch, squadron letters and nose art, but it will happen!

Well that's a pretty cool looking beast!!

What's the propulsion?
So I got that going for me...which is nice....

Sisko

Nice, love the camo.

I take it is in service WWII colours?

Gotta love a plane with sexy nose art.
Get this Cheese to sick bay!

Allan

Glenn,

Who's its mother and father?

Seriously interesting plane...that damn well should have flown.

Love it Glen - yert another of my favourite "old, weird and slightly ugly" planes.

The engines spit out fire, I'm pushed back in my chair
The pressure gives me thrills as we climb in the air

Hmmmmmmmmmm. ;)

It's kinda like an Airacobra with an overbite.  Nice camo, too.

The XP-75 has character in that mishmash of assemblies, but for aesthetics I rather prefer the refined P-75A design.

Fantastic!  More progress and pics, PLEASE!  Love the camo scheme---your own concept or "real"??  (Madoc's link kept timing out for me...).

Styrene in my blood and an impressive void in my cranium.

QuoteThere's a resin kit by some Czech - who else - outfit, but I can't remember which one.  I know I've got it, but I think it's the "production" version.

RAF evaluation, Boscombe Down eventually.
It's the A-1 version Lee and it's by FE Resin, got it myself

Allan,
It's mum and dad, well fuselage...SBD and outer wings from a P-40. The engine, one big mother, with contra props.
JHM,
Yes, WW2 colours. The number on the tail shows it's service started in 1943, and no they didn't serve in any theatre, only as coffins for their pilots. 14 built, none survived.
