I think I'm going to have to ask you, Joe, for another Huntsman conversion so I can do a single-engined one, too.  I'm thinking one of those for initial TSR.2 bomb/nav training (much as the USN used modified Gulfstream I's for that) and Hunter T.12's for pilot familiarization, then my four-seat Hunter for basic crew training, followed by a trainer version of the TSR.2 before going to the full-up combat-ready aircraft.

Thoughts on this, anyone?

very plauseable evan...should work a treat...

ive got 2 built and three waiting for insperation. One may wind up as a civil bird...the Yellowjacks idea is cool...mind if i pinch it lee?  im doing a load of gnats in yellowjacks and dead sparrows schemes for the cadets at the mo...would be a great one to sneak into the display.
I always hope for the best.

QuoteAlso, I think the French stopped selling Israel arms after they started the Six Day War.

Indeed. But remember that french government and Dassault still send to IDF some piece to repair the old Mirage III and some think that Dassault help Israel to build the Nesher/Kfir.

So the single engined Huntsman would be used to train the back seaters in the "passenger" compartment, then the four seater to train the pilot/nav pair - have I got that right Evan ?

Chris
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

QuoteYeah, Martin, go for a Yellowjacks one, but if you do get a can of Halfords white primer and a can of Fiat Broom Yellow.  The latter is best with white primer and the Fiat yellow is just right for RAF yellow.
Cheers Lee.
Ta for the Halfords tip. Me thinks this project is a go. Another Airfix Hunter bites the dust.

You've got that right.  I figure the single-engined Huntsman in the same role as the TC-4 "Academe" (modified Gulfstream I) served with the US Navy.  The rest seems to be a fair straight-forward training program.   I could also see some possibilities for crew training if the RAF or FAA bought some EA-6B's.
