The Avro Lancastrian was flown by Qantas Empire Airways between 1945-1952 ferrying engines and parts for the Lockheed Constellation, whereas the Avro York which was the only one to enter service with the Royal Australian Air Force was operated by the Governor-General's Flight from 1945 to 1947 MW140 Endeavor to become the personal aircraft of the Duke of Gloucester.
The York C.2 was fitted with four Bristol Hercules XVI radial piston engines , so I'm thinking of something else from the Rolls-Royce maybe a test aircraft before it was retired from service.
