 The Lockheed B-30 Excalibur II bombers were converted into maritime patrol aircraft as they had the range and endurance, the front and rear bomb bays were kept with the engines replaced with Rolls-Royce Tynes. The tail wheels replaced by a nose wheel landing gear and the main landing gear was also replaced. The first modifications included the deleted guns and the rear MAD boom..
