Well troubles or not Kit, it still looks good. Interesting concept too: I'd never though of having non-powered props as a way of getting around the "where does the drive shaft go?" issue. Nice bit of lateral thinking there.

Also, you've finished something with a cockpit interior, undercarriage and a three-colour scheme faster than I've managed to finish one with a single-colour scheme, no gear and a head-on-a-shelf cockpit!

Quote from: PR19_Kit on July 17, 2026, 09:59:45 AMThe Swift FR5 has swept fin flashes to match the sweep angle of the fin, so they were effectively custom made! I've manged to print some white outlined ones, but was hampered by a devious scanner.  :banghead:

Yes I noticed that one limitation of the FPS sheet is that it doesn't cater for swept fin flashes. Difficult to I suppose, since they were so non-standardised.

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr, I just wrote a reply here and it's all vanished!  :banghead:

I'll do it again once I've calmed down.

Copy before you try and post.

Easy to say, and I always forget to do it.  :banghead:

Great build Kit.

What I was trying to say was.....................

I'm glad you all seem to like that, and thanks, but it's really only a '3 foot model', being the best distance to view it from, as close up it's not that good. If I do another Raspberry Ripple schemed model, be it a Swift or anything else, I'd do the stripes only with decals, it's a lot easier than all that pesky masking. Looking back on my Hawker P.1086 model of some 13 yrs ago (!) I find that's EXACTLY how I did its Raspberry Ripple scheme! I should have read about it first.  :banghead:

Re the non-powered prop, that idea came to me in a flash once I'd realised there was NO chance that a prop-shaft could pass through the cockpit/pilot/nose gear bay area, and that generated the 'Airscrew Trials Unit' idea and thence the colour scheme.

It was all an integrated idea, for a change.  ;D

The Aircrew Trials Unit was of course a completely different organisation with a completely different purpose...
