Yellow bands were only for RAF trainers.

The RAE used dayglo areas on the nose, tail and wing tips in the 60s, but I'm saying the FR5(AT) carried on well past its sell-by date as it was the only game in town for a fast prop tester.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)
