Do we want to hold a One Week Build GB this Year ?

Yes
No

NARSES2

Right gents.

I've been meaning to try and find this out for ages and recent congestion in the GB Season has made me get off my backside.

So do you want to hold a One Week GB this year : Yes or No ?

Can I ask that if you answer yes that you fully intend as far as possible to take part in it ?

Thank you

Chris

If others want to go ahead. It's fun to see what others come up with.
There's no way I can build anything in a week! Lucky if I can get down to the basement to the desk. Standing at the spray booth would be a challenge.

I wouldn't participate, Chris, but would mod again of no one else offered their services.

I would at least try, but I am a self destructive fool. It would create a sense of accomplishment. Probably be some cryptid machine from the parts bin.

There's a Vote for that - in the 2026 Group Build thread...

I think the way things are going I will probably run the One Week Build, but I'll make a final decision next week.

I've always enjoyed the 1WkGB, and I've taken part in it most years, so I'd be sad to see it go.

Doesn't look as though there's an overwhelming opinion either way. So as things stand I'll probably go with this years One Week build, see what participation's like and then make a decision about next years well in advance.

Dates will almost certainly be as advertised and if necessary I'll moderate it as it's not a great hassle

And yes, I know what kit I'll be building.

You can make it 4-v-4, just for kicks, as I voted "No" but, in all honesty, that was more about whether I would participate or not (Never have, never will - I haven't a snowflake's hope in Hell of finishing anything in a week!).

Unfortunately I couldn't remove my vote after I'd submitted it.

Dates will almost certainly be as advertised...

And those dates are?

Same here.  I then read the question properly and thought maybe I should have voted Yes.
I usually enter and usually fail to finish.  This year I may be laid up recovering from surgery and unable to enter anyway.  Alternatively I may be recovered enough to build but not to go back to work.  It all depends on the answer to my question above and what the surgeon tells me when I finally get to see him on Friday.

Only 9 votes.  How many are on the forum?

Anyone else yet to vote?

Got something in the stash that I think that I can build in a week.

Mossie

I've voted yes. I think it's a good GB, with plenty of entries and a reasonable finish rate considering the challenge, which is part of the appeal.

I do hope to take part however I've got a poor finish rate, usually because I bite off more than I can chew. I'm looking to find something simpler this year. I think if my brain says I can do it in a few days, I may have a chance of completing it.
