Next project: since the weathering on the Tiger needs to dry thoroughly for now, I'm going to get started on the Airfix Lysander.

It will be a fictional RNZAF aircraft in SD service.
I've picked up the CMK set for it, along with some additional accessories.
The fit is quit good.
to start off, I added rivets to the fuel tank.

I wonder how prone that tank was to developing leaks.
🤔

It resembles a certain early Bell helicopter.

Brail for mechanics, without the rivets you wouldn't know where the hell you were.
🤣
Especially if you're a sparkie working on the main electrical connections through the
engine bay deck. Pure de hell I'm tellin' youse.

Adding rivets seems just a little bit weird.

But I can see why you've done it.

Hope the build goes well!

The RNZAF use is a nice idea, I like that!

Just a tip mate.  If you're still on the same page you don't need to quote all the pictures you are giving the thumbs up to.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.  Revelling in numptytism.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed, badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry.

I've got that kit in the stash, be interesting to watch how you go with it

Always liked the Lizzie.  My Grandad used to work on them as an LAC.

This might fit the Operation Downfall GB.

I have a Twisted Plan for a modified 1/72 version vs. invading Germans... One Day.

Like the RNZAF pick.. well, I would, wouldn't I?  ;)

Dizzyfugu

I also have plans (and already parts) for a twisted Lysander. Some day...

Probably would have been used in that role as well. There were plans to have Miles Magister's equiped with mustard gas canisters as a last resort  :-\ . I've built a model of one.

Update.
Yesterday I made the first refinements. I added cables, the fire extinguisher, and the battery.
